I can understand how others might not be endeared to her character, but she was believable (and not annoying)…
Are they talking about the main female lead character? She's the tsundere type...the kind who comes off as cold and defensive outwardly, but is a good and caring character internally. It makes complete sense that she is that way given where she originally came from.

Actually the ending makes perfect sense. It's not a good or happy ending, but it makes sense. They are back to…
Not strong. But this drama isn't about cultivating martial arts. It's more about the characters and their relationships.

is the drama really that bad?
It's not open-ended. I think maybe you didn't quite understand the story. I get that it was a tragic ending(I really, really wanted a happily-ever-after for my two favorite characters), but it makes perfect sense, so I think it's an okay ending.

Ah, I see. Thank you for clarifying.

Honestly, I'm glad about this. LeiLei, since he's looking to be a serious actor, doesn't need to take the route that everyone else is taking to popularity. I'd rather see him in more serious works and films than idol-type dramas. Also, I'm not a fan of xianxias, so I'd hate to have to force myself to sit through one just to see him, lol.

Honestly I'm for everything except for Liu Haoran and Zhao Lusi after what I saw happen to Wu Lei. Liu Haoran…
What did Wu Lei's fandom attack Zhao Lusi about?

I dunno whose fans attacked who first, but all I know is how poorly Lusi treated Wu Lei in some of those BTS, and I told myself I would never support anything from her. She seems just as high-horsed, narcissistic, and as self-centered as her fans all make her out to be. Every time her drama is successful, they claim it's all because of her...that all her male co-stars fall for her...that she makes all her co-stars look good...and when LeiLei won awards for his own acting ability, some of her fans have commented that he needed to thank Lusi, lol. What a joke. I have never seen Wu Lei fans claiming that the success of any drama he has been in was because of him or that his co-stars needed to be thanking him, so I'm pretty confident in knowing which fanbase is the screwed up one here. Lusi's fanbase is the one that can't seem to get along with the fanbases of so many of her co-stars. Seems they're always picking fights...just as recently as attacking Liu Yuning simply for being casted as Lusi's male lead. There's a pattern there, so I think that says a lot. I personally hope Wu Lei never collaborates with her again. There are a lot of better options for serious, non-idol actors like him.

This is just rumors at this time. I've not heard that Wu Lei has accepted this project. Just out of curiosity…
I'm not able to find her summary. Is this character supposed to be the beautiful, graceful, ethereal type? If so, I suppose Leo Wu's image wouldn't be the best option. He's very handsome, but, in terms of image, he's way more masculine, down to earth, hardcore, edgy, athletic, cool, etc. They said this XJX character was a general-type character so I wasn't expecting idol or "beautiful" in the graceful or ethereal way. As I said though, LeiLei has not accepted this role or anything so it's safe to say it's nothing more than silly rumor at this point. I dunno about Xiao Zhan. My personal opinion has always been that he's actually not all that good-looking...but he does have that idol, boyish image(and slim shoulders)...so that might work for a more ethereal kind of beauty if they dress him up properly.

Thank you! I didn't have any idea what kind of film this would be but seeing that BTS trailer...wow! I'm excited. I was looking forward to seeing more action films from LeiLei. He's such a talented actor in general, but I especially love watching him in battle sequences.

Leo please start filming another drama or we won't have anything of you in 2024
Think we'll have Amidst a Snowstorm of Love in early 2024. But I would love to see a new costume drama from him, preferably historical or wuxia.

Doesn't sound like you've seen many of Wu Lei's dramas and films. Did you not watch EP25 ? His emoting is so natural and fantastic. I'm not sure how you can claim that, as an actor, his face doesn't emote that much after watching him in a scene like that. He's a better actor than both Zhao Lusi and Dilraba. He doesn't emote much in this drama because that is required for the character that he's playing. If you've seen him his other films and dramas, his characters are always different from each other because he's truly that versatile of an actor. For example, you can compare him here in The Long Ballad as Ashile Sun(a cold, aloof, introvert warrior) to him as Xiao Yan from Fights Break Sphere(emotional, down to earth, talkative, and funny extrovert).

ok, I didn't find the show that interesting. The whole storyline was honestly terrible. I feel like if the storyline…
Disagree so much. Leyan and Hao Du didn't even have any impact on the world around them. The two of them were just...there....pointless and bland personalities. All they truly had going for them was a love story, and even that love story was ordinary w/bland interactions, nothing to write home about. They were the most boring parts of the drama, tbh. But I thought everything else was very interesting...lots of character growth and lots of morals/positive messages. Hao Du and Leyan's love story(along with Leyan's character) was made up only for the drama.
Didn't even exist in the original manhua/comic.

I want him in a drama with dilabra again they are perfect together
...I would love to see him in another historical costume drama with her. Or maybe a Wuxia drama. I was just thinking that since LeiLei played the young version of Yang Guo in the 2014 version of Return of the Condor Heroes, it would be interesting and fitting to see him play grownup Yang Guo in the next remake. Dilraba, being older than him too in RL, would be a great fit for Xiaolongnu/GuGu. She's beautiful enough, and I think she can pull off a character who is serious, unemotional, indifferent, yet, also a bit naive and innocent.

A BIG NO for this cast. Leo Wu is a good actor, but this character of "Xie Jing Xing" doesn't suit him."Shen Miao"…
This is just rumors at this time. I've not heard that Wu Lei has accepted this project.
Just out of curiosity though, why wouldn't this character suit him? Wu Lei is a very versatile actor who has done many different types of roles throughout his long acting career...everything from funny, charming, playful, natural characters to stoic, serious, cold, aloof ones. What are the characteristics of this character that would not suit him?

Amidst a Snowstorm of Love, that's what you should be looking for since the filming was completed couple of months…
If what he said last year is true then there won't be another drama for him for the reset of this year but two films. "All Ears" is releasing September 9th(though, his international fans may have to wait a while to be able to see it). His other film "Dwelling by the West Lake" should be coming out, too, later on this year. Both were filmed prior to this year though. His next drama "Amidst a Snowstorm of Love" likely won't be airing until early next year. The project he just started working on is another film: "Decent Things". There hasn't been anything official announced for him yet after that so we'll just have to wait and see. All else is just rumors at this point. Anyway, I have to agree with you that he's an excellent actor...very expressive and versatile. Wu Lei is my favorite.

To me, Wu Lei is better than Hedi in both the looks and acting department.
LeiLei's face is more chiseled, he has a cute cleft on his chin, and he looks more masculine and natural...like he didn't get anything weird done to his face)...but, hey, beauty is in the eye of the beholder so I'll let your comment slide :P
