In all the remakes, there's one painful moment with the beloved service animal.I have to say the bad guy in this one was more scary and cold-blooded.

Are you serious about these ratings though. I can't imagine watching that many shows and rating most of them 4.5 - 6 😂 🤣

It was better than I expected and I did find some parts very spooky. Also the twist at the end is unexpected.

The horny, rapist zombies ruined everything, but they had a great concept if they left out that weird stuff.

It's funny that women are judged harshly for the same behavior that men do without thinking twice. Maybe that…
I appreciate that you aim to judge people EQUALLY that’s a fair and principled stance. Often society doesn’t judge equally, even if we as individuals try to.

Many double standards are so deeply ingrained that we might not even notice them. For example, a man being assertive is often framed as ‘leadership,’ while a woman acting the same way might be called ‘bossy’ or ‘aggressive.’ A man prioritizing his career is ambitious; a woman doing the same might be questioned about her personal life or commitment to family.

So while your personal intent is to be fair which is great the broader point is that the same behavior is often interpreted differently depending on whether a man or a woman does it. The drama might be highlighting that disconnect between intention and perception.

The writer is clearly asking you to think about it and expose your own biases. It's social critique.

Mixing romance and horror is not easy to do. It's not bad; it deserves more than a 6.5. It's better than some horror movies I've watched. The similarity between Korean shamans and some Asian horror is very interesting.

I don't know if the FL was stupid or selfish. She would make all sorts of declarations without thinking about her friends or safety. That's the only downside part of the movie.

Where did you watch it?
Yeah, I usually try to download the video and watch on my laptop or find an Ai translator to create imperfect subs. They miss some words but gives me the freedom to watch stuff I want to explore without waiting.

I was worried for my bum and of course as someone that's used to watch at least at a faster pace. I was worried how I would do in a movie theater but watching in imax was visually tantalizing and such a beautiful experience.

The lady sitting next to me kept crying 😭 😭 while I felt angry for the stuff that was happening to him just because of his birth. I feel like I need to read the book now, but it doesn't have an English translation.

The closing scene was the most beautiful show of kabuki. He really did work hard to get there. I'm glad the writer gave him his moment.

I'm sorry, but I still dislike seeing Erika Karata, and she gets the worst parts, too. So seeing her opposite Okada Masaki was kind of off-putting.

I liked the other loopy stories, especially the one about the "son of God" and the "Frog" one The one about the bonfires was also kind of heartwarming. They are all stories with multiple meanings or you can find meaning from them.
On Midnight Horror: Six Nights Jan 17, 2026
Is the show just about women being terrorized by men or what?? It felt more like social commentary than horror. E3 & E4 annoyed me do much because they seemed to be important subjects that are glossed over in favor of cheap jumpscares

This movie is more irritating than scary with all the knocking and the banging of doors. And of course mothers are always blamed for the system that allows them to cause their kids stress through study.

I liked the shaman though.
