Truth is, you hit a certain number of kdramas, you have watched every possible storyline. Every show that follows after that is just a different version of the one's you've already watched. *No originality* The initial novelty wears off and you get into a slump.

Most kdramas just aren't that memorable when it comes to their storylines and storytelling. They've always had bad stories if watch older kdramas,. Nobody is really that interested in a weak FL crying over a cheating husband and being a doormat or some airhead FL in an unrealistic romance with chaebols and cruel rich people. Boring narrative!!

They shld adapt more manhuas and webtoons, some have interesting plots and innovative stories.

I always pray that all his projects fail, I don't care if it's with Suzy or anyone else. I will never forget that male privilege can save your career.

Yeah, that's what hurts me the most that she never thought about her own daughter's future and failed to make any sort of plans because she knew where the guy lived. There's nothing romantic about her pining and longing for a man that she never even thought about being honest to.

I want to be sympathetic to the tone of the drama, I feel we could talk about the fathers issue without using that woman as emotional bait because she can only make me angry with the irresponsible behavior.

The worst part is how everything is being framed like she was the hero and he is the villain. She had so many chances up to the end of her life to tell him especially when she knew she would be gone. All that stalker sh*t, talking about him as if she loved him to the child but not letting them meet, when she only loves herself. Yet, everyone is angry at him, so weird.

I'm having serious problems liking Mizuki. I know she is supposed to be a free-spirited kind of person, but all her decisions are so selfish.

Oh man, I struggled to finish this. I often defend the Jdrama way of acting with those over-the-top expressions but this time even I struggled with it. And the fairy/ magic background music.

I was being sarcastic, no didn't like it. One of the ML was angry half of the show and I have no idea why!!

Watch old kdramas if you really want to become depressed. Something like Stairway to Heaven (2003) (haha) where the suffering never ends or some long kdrama soapie ( they cry alot in those ones) .

Watched without subs but it looks like they both get stabbed/killed by their affair partners.But it also doesn't show them actually dying so maybe a bit open-ended.

I hated that even when the ML did something good, Death still made him think that what he did was wrong. So what was the point? Just be in other people's bodies and then do nothing? This was the most pointless aspect of this drama!

So what ! Who gets to decide on your behalf that your choices are wrong? Who gets to decide on your behalf that your problems aren't big enough to warrant taking your own life?

Maybe that's the problem that most people have with the messaging of this drama. Instead of blaming and forcing them to see things the " society's way" no effort is made to understand ML's thinking. You can't judge someone's hard time and just say tough it out!

I understand what the drama was trying to say but at the same time the message feels and seems so one dimensional. Instead of taking a nuanced look at all the characters, Death was bent on making the ML regret his actions only.

There is a lot of mixed messages in the drama that gives it a one dimensional look at life and death. Even if you see your mother or anyone else's struggles does that negate your own experiences? It can either motivate you maybe or do nothing. Both choices are not wrong.

It made me happy to learn that the novel has a different ending, where the two women remain best friends and the character of He Han doesn't exist in the novel. Tang Jing marries her boyfriend and Li Zijun marries a different man that she meets. It's such a shame that like most Chinese novels that these dramas are based on rarely have English Translations.

The script writer really hated the FL she is the only that seems to have lost alot in the show. From losing her husband to losing her house to losing her best friend. She just kept losing things.

I had a few issues with this drama and struggled to believe if Li Zijun and He Han were really in love or does He Han just prefer a damsel in distress. It never really feels like Zijun becomes an independent woman or be confident in her own abilities.

I hated how the ex-hubby seemed to abandon his son and never really steps up as a father, that was the most heartbreaking part of this drama and how he was just a sheep with no thought or opinion. Watching him gave me negative feelings all the time. Annoying little man.

I thought I was the only one whose radar started beeping... Haha, I feel so bad for thinking that way but sometimes if you know you know 😂🤣😉

Some people saw a masterpiece others saw trash. I wonder where I stand. I liked the opening and closing theme song. Does that count?

if you use the nurture vs nature debate, what then will you say about the FL. She grew up in the same environment with them but turned out differently and was able to fight against the oppression from her parents.

There is also an element of generational cycle of abuse in the story, so I'm a bit sympathetic to the father as he was married to a domineering woman that controlled all aspects of his life. The children had potential to break free from the cycle, that's why I'm kind of disappointed in them.

You also really can't compare their actions IMO there is no excuse for physical assault...ever.

But the kids are now adults, we cannot blame our parents for our bad behaviour as adults. There is no way to justify both the brother's behaviour when they should know better. One even lives in the US but still treats his sister and wife like it's the stone age when he has seen how women should be treated, he even has a daughter. So is he going to treat his daughter this way too? Where do we even begin to justify assault and physical violence against your own sister.

The old man, can be forgiven to be a man of a different generation whose outlook on women is outdated but the brothers have no excuse at all. Plus he is old and has dementia.

Yeah, that's the thing about Asian drama.They always try too hard to make everyone forgive each other even in situations where they deserve jail time. I could maybe forgive the old man, but the brothers that's a stretch.
