You are right, I don't like it when they write Mary Sue characters with an inflated sense of justice but the character doesn't extend the same justice to their own life. I hated it when she would vent on ML while pretending to be righteous to her friends. She was repressed while pretending to hold it together.
What is the teacher crisis? I'm googling and I find nothing.
You can google "South Korean Teacher's strike 2023" or "South Korean teachers seek protection against parents" or "South Korean teachers harassment by parents"
As a musician myself, I would really like if they made more dramas about classical music and orchestras. I really…
classical music is kind of elitist with a touch of class-ism, it has too many technical aspect that makes it a boring subject to follow even in dramas. Very few people can relate to the subject.
It wasn't that bad, it kept me watching although it was a bit predictable and the story-line kind of weak. Lee Young Ae is just captivating as she has always been. Amazing body, I wish they gave her a good wardrobe and less severe haircut. Those power suits didn't do much for her.
I'm so glad, I waited for two years to watch this one because a lot of things don't make sense. What a ridiculous slow, boring drama. I would have told my friend the moment that I found out or at least told her to call the Dr. Spending days on end walking around with such a big secret looked so unfriendly and so selfish. There is no way I would do that to my friend.
Much better than other c-dramas in the same genre that I've watched so far. Very easy watch,it's light and doesn't…
Just disappointed that the ex-hubby was violent until the end but that was never discussed or talked about. The little girl was also always being passed around all sorts of her mum's male friends. The mum never took time to discuss with her daughter what was happening. I think she could have done better on these issues.
Much better than other c-dramas in the same genre that I've watched so far. Very easy watch,it's light and doesn't drag. There were a few minor problems with the way conflict was dealt with and that little girl's character.
The irony is that they all relied on her salary and criticized her for working too much when she held the family's…
Did she keep drinking and smoking even though she was pregnant? When the guy asks her if she is pregnant she says no and her friend doesn't stop her from drinking when she is pregnant. It's kind of difficult to conclude on that specific point.
I don't think they ended up together though because she clearly stated that she hated how he turned her into a "crazy" woman.
The irony is that they all relied on her salary and criticized her for working too much when she held the family's finances together. Everything they enjoyed was her sweat. She even rescued him a few times.
A very frustrating watch because of the "angel, philosophical, overly righteous" concept that certain actors have. They forgive and understand other characters better than themselves. It's pretty unrealistic reactions like this that take away so many good qualities of the drama. How can you say when your child is in a coma "What would I have done if I were in her shoes" to the person who's responsible for the mess? No one thinks like that, especially in the moment it's so silly.
The FL talking about forgiveness and acting like it's not a crisis made it so weird. We get it that people should forgive, but don't be unrealistic about it especially when it comes to institutional and structural problems like the school board.
I get the message of forgiveness but what's the point if institutions protect the sinners? Stop writing such stupid messages and then playing sad music to move people's emotions. False SA accusation and you say "It's okay, I understand"
I know there is one underground Thai fansub group that has a paywall and I'm sure they sub more dramas. The rest of the fansubbers I follow will only sub if they like or follow the main couple /ship. If a ship is popular the chances of the drama getting subbed is high. looking at the main couple there are not among the most famous and followed ships like Mark Prin, Yaya, Kim, Esther or Nadech. The bigger the ship the faster it gets subbed.
BL couples usually have more fandoms than Lakorn that's why they get subbed almost always and they are not as many BLs as Lakorn as well.
So you just take what you can and keep checking the comments. I wish GMMTV would provide the Thai subs and we could just use AI to translate ourselves.
It has the type of complicated plot that your average romantic drama watcher would not appreciate. They want unicorns and roses while this is more messy and a bit out of the box.
Even though he was the trigger of everything that came after Choel’s murder
It's not my fault that you have a myopic view that fails to grasp simple concepts that are presented right in front of you. the audacity of your delusion knows no bounds. It takes a special kind of blindness to mistake a mirror for a brick wall, but then again, your intellectual prowess don't seem to be that sharp.
Your feeble attempt at psychological projection is as transparent as it is pathetic. You hurl insults like a petulant child throwing tantrums in a sandbox, oblivious to the fact that your own reflection is staring back at you, distorted by the fun house mirrors of your ego.
So go ahead, revel in your sanctimonious ignorance, bask in the glory of your arrogance. You;re just a sad, hollow shell desperately clinging to the illusion of relevance.
Even though he was the trigger of everything that came after Choel’s murder
You are the one that's totally missing the clear clues. KM spoke kindly to everyone in the show even when he was killing them he told them the reason why. He wasn't unnecessarily violent with anyone but gave them a chance to repent or just gave his judgment as he saw fit.
You seem confused because the only one you are extending empathy to is JS. Where is your empathy for Cheoli's mum who was begging the female detective to arrest the person who killed her son. This is the biggest difference btwn KM and JS. When KM got the chance he went to see Cheoli's mum but when JS is asked to apologize he lacks any ounce of remorse but self-preservation.
You either lack analytic skills, or comprehension skills or you're just caught up in your ignorance. He didn't choose to die but died because he continued to be in denial. He was cornered and how long was he going to hold on when gravity was pulling the other end? There's a reason why KM jumped off the ledge, to trap JS. Once trapped there was no way out for him, his time was up.
Even though he was the trigger of everything that came after Choel’s murder
The female cop may have been annoying because all her behaviour is somehow unrealistic but she is the only one who wasn't fooled by JS. She believed KM and even sought opinion to get justice for Cheoli's death. She even says to JS's face you were a kid, but that doesn't excuse murder or wrong doing. We see her telling Cheoli's mum the truth and didn't try to pretend that JS was a hero. So in some way she is the voice of reason for the show.
Even though he was the trigger of everything that came after Choel’s murder
I don't know if you read books but this story reminded me alot of a novel called A Grain of Wheat by an African author from Kenya (Ngugi wa Thiong) . JS reminds me of a "hero" in that book called Mugo who everyone thought was a true hero but he betrayed the true hero. He was about to be given the highest honours for being fearless but he finally confesses that he is the one that betrayed the hero and they kill him as atonement.
Even though he was the trigger of everything that came after Choel’s murder
The problem with your theory is that you are still trying to disprove things that are explicitly mentioned and spoken by Jong Suk himself in EP10-12. He tells us the reason for his actions and this is not because he was mentally ill at all but wanted to sacrifice Cheoli because the bullying wld never end. Even Kyun min tells him that I followed you and heard all the conversations you had with Cheoli, when Jong Suk tries again to explain away his behaviour. He uses the trust the other cops have in him to try and cover his 20 year secret.
Towards the end of E10 is especially painful because Cheoli told him that no one wld be able to touch him if he becomes a policeman and that's the same dream that Jong Suk stole.Jong Suk questioned Cheol about the change of mind. He didn't buy the reason but he went with it though but you can see the hesitation of Cheol's request to him. In his mind, he's thinking.. yes you're doing public show of trying to commit sucide but then what? Even if Cheol assured Jong Suk it will stop the bullying, that they will not be touch anymore, that the pig will be afraid and think twice (ep 8 part of the eplaining why he wanted to die). They can move on they'll become policemen and even ask Jong Suk to join him. But Jong Suk mindset is not same as Kyung Min. The latter is always... lets tough it it 2 more years and will get out of the nighmare .. type of suffering.
In EP11, Jong Suk is now aware who Cheoli after the woman detective tells him he had his handwriting analysed and its him who wrote the note. His reaction was to say no one would believe a serial killer and yet the female detective believed Kyun Min's version of events. He further lies to the police and convinces them he wld drive Kyun Min and clearly runs off the car out of the road, into that dam but before that he cracks open the window to ensure his escape and leaves KM to drown so he can die with the secret. He even lowered the volume in the room so his colleagues couldn't hear their connection, he plots to drive using route 42 for some reason. Fortunately, KM had planned it all well that they would end up at the school.
Before he surrenders KM visits KM's mum and gives her a loving parental bow and a bag full of cash. KM's surrender is to reveal the truth of that day and get JS to admit and own up to his selfish act. Even KM says that JS pushed Cheoli without hesitation. There are so many clues given to show JS's character not as honourable as we all believed.
You should rewatch EP10 - 12, there are so many clues ...he was asked if he would be able to hide it all and his reply " who would believe the story of mad killer" but then he was shown panicking over the comments on social media. So yeah, in that moment it was clear he wanted to protect himself. The fact that the female detective said there was a witness spooked him even further.
He only died because he refused to apologize and tell the world what had happened but Kyun Min gave him a chance...tell the world, and apologize to Cheoli's mum but he still refused. So he signed his ticket to hell. Whether it's concrete or asphalt it fits the purpose of what the author was trying to convey to us. It was judgment day and Kyun Min was the judge and executioner whether Jong Suk wanted it or not time was up for his lie.
Even though he was the trigger of everything that came after Choel’s murder
Did we watch the same show? All motives and intentions were fully exposed and explained in EP11 & 12 by the character himself. The author allows you to feel sympathy for him up to there but it becomes clear that he is hiding something. Up until that point he may have been in denial and tried to shirk responsibility for his actions. But he says he was not going to fall apart like KM because he knows many powerful people unlike KM, when asked if he felt any guilt he says why should he when it's something that happened 20 years ago totally ignoring and dismissing the pain of Cholie's mum who was still mourning her son 20 years later.
He was force-fed to the concrete, it was because Kyung Min literally hand-cuffed him and dragged him with but even at the last moment he was still in denial. He wasn't given an option. It was guilt that made him anxious and had to take medication. Neither the anime nor mahwa suggests that he was mentally ill, maybe an idealist and errant disciple of Cheoli who took the Pig ideology to the extreme and didn't want his "savior" to change but fully expected him to sacrifice himself for them like he usually did.
Even though he was the trigger of everything that came after Choel’s murder
The only grey character in the series is Kyung Min who embodies being a serial killer and being a great boss, husband and seems to take care of everyone around him except the bullies. His first kill is a pedo,he pays hospital fees for a bullied victim. Isn't this what superheros embody. He only wanted Jong Suk to acknowledge what he did to Cholie.
In E11 & 12, Jong Suk is very clear that he is not ready to give up all that he has earned through lies and manipulation that's his main motivation for wanting to get rid of Kyung Min.He doesn't even want the courts to deal with it, he lies. Even the reasons he sacrifices Cholie are purely self preservation.
Even YouTube has documentaries about this issue.
I don't think they ended up together though because she clearly stated that she hated how he turned her into a "crazy" woman.
