I didn't watch this series yet, but I just had to laugh at this comment.

I honestly don't like the whole let's forgive each other vibe that Thai Lokorn always adopt. The bad guy becomes a monk or does a few self sacrifice and is forgiven. I don't know a world where a woman would like her husband's mistress's Instagram photos.. I think more people would like if guilty people aren't quickly redeemed. Most people would have preferred to see Rin's new romance than Pak/Lalita's redemption arc. I know Thailand is a Buddhist country.

The only complaint I have is how it's never really revealed why the husband was so determined to protect the other girl while hurting his wife but also telling her he loved her. He was so confusing and frustrating, he never spoke up or said anything.That's something different from the Kversion. Pong didn't cry with regret. I liked it though.

I've always liked Anne's serious face and so I didn't find her that funny in this lakorn. Everything seemed a bit forced and her character seemed grumpy most of the time. It was a decent story about ageism and women's issues. I like that they wrote a strong female character, though they made her too strong, unfeeling and bland, especially in situations where she is supposed to react in an emotional way.

Don't call people that you don't know kids, I've watched way more dramas than you and I'm definitely entitled to my own opinion. Like I said nothing is entertaining about sexual harassment in the workplace and writers and authors need to write better stories, not some old cliches.

Do you think queer people deserve to be portrayed as sexual perverts that are unethical and will groop and touch every handsome guy in their vicinity without consent? I live for the day when queer people will be portrayed with dignity and as characters that deserve beautiful love stories just like normal fairy tales.

You are more than welcome to leave your own positive review on this page but don't jump on my post and tell me how to act or how to think. If you were entertained then that's good for you. I'm not surprised since it's just entertainment for you. It doesn't take away from the fact that I think this drama is trash.

Japanese films are so bad that they've won 4 academy awards more than any other Asian country. You speak as though other countries don't have bad dramas too. Japan has contributed to the world arts/films so just criticizing a certain section or genre of dramas that you don't like doesn't mean that they are not influential or successful. I can say the same about Korea's cliche romance dramas and assembly line actors with little variety in genres. Japanese dramas have a long line of genres and sub genres not just those two that you don't like.

Those cheating dramas that you mentioned are mostly based on josei manga (adult topics) which is a specific category in itself. It has specific themes, topics and sub-genres. So you cannot simply lump everything up and say "Japanese dramas is bad" there have a market for it and that's why they make them.
Those few genres you mentioned cannot possibly define a whole industry.

Besides they have way more TV stations (Fuji TV), NTV,NHK, TBS, Asahi, WOWOW) and some of the dramas like NHK dramas already have a certain formats and target audiences.

You can almost say that she was a coward for choosing to stick with her parents but erasing her sister from their lives. She was an enabler who never investigated her beliefs but dabbled in both worlds afraid of facing the truth even when she had a cold and could see that there were no stars. She was more of a prisoner of her parents's beliefs.

There is no difference between Yaoi and BL, I just used it for semantic purposes. A lot of Yaoi novels are the source materials for all these BL drama series.

Like I said I can come up with at least ten scenes that are ableist and have some type of white knighting behaviour by Mork. For example how often he is holding Day's hand or leading him. You see it as being too protective, while I see it as the problem. How do you show love and support to someone living with a disability without making it seem like they are helpless and would be lost without you? Maybe reading the novel gives a different vibe.

Yes, I agree that Aon is portrayed differently, I like that. But by Episode 8 don't you think Day should more or less get more independent and not clinging to Mork?

I also know that yaoi readers and consumers of BL often blind to the underlying issues of certain storylines and are okay with whatever as long as they get their BL/yaoi fix and it's they fav etc.

Thanks that's great to know, but I also was not expecting them to get it right when disability is part of the plot and is being used as a plot device/plot line for the story. It's different when it's just a character with a disability.

Their drama still got a very high rating for all that KFC eating they did in Vice Versa. They also has a huge following on Twitter ( x or whatever) and that's the main reason why I'm watching this series again even though I know he is over hyped. Somebody gave it a 10/10 just like Vice Versa and being the curious person I am I just couldn't help myself.

I don't think a personal living with a visual impairment will watch this drama and feel empowered at all. There is a lot of white knighting by the ML for the sake of the plot. Even their first kiss is all about the white knight saving the helpless weak, damsel in distress ( for lack of a better term). There are so outdated in the way they presented what life might be like for a visually impaired person. They are not going to be stuck in the middle of the road until someone saves them. Sigh,so yeah there are many ableist scenes in the drama. I wonder if they consulted real people with the same situation.

I was just scared of watching this drama because I know JimmySea is so popular that they gets ridiculously high ratings for just existing. Another issue was the "ableist," concept of the story. So, I'm still deciding whether I like it or not.

What a beautiful message about hope and healing from the past and finding value even in our worthless selves. I like all the philosophical questions about life, forgiving yourself and finding yourself again.

That's the beauty of JBL, the beauty and simplicity of it all. The inner monologues that represent all our hopes, dreams and inner conflicts are all wrapped around in a seemingly easy, light story. I will always believe in JBL Supremacy and love the minimalist take on most stories—the simple characters that are normal, ordinary people who need healing just like you and me—the ability to deliver the main message in 6 episodes.

My take is that only philosophical people with a certain refined taste will enjoy JBL and think highly of them. The rest immature kids can stick to Thai BL, that can have 12 episodes with no substance at all, just random product placements.

A JBL will have 2 locations, the office and the flat and still make you cry and get the overall message.
