I have zero sympathy for the cop, he was just a fake friend. He tried to get rid of Kyung Min when confronted with the truth. He just didn't want to face the truth as an adult as well. He could have just apologized even when confronted by the female cop about the diary and the letter but he choose to continue acting like a self righteous upstanding saviour. He was jelouse of Cholie and even stole his dream of being an officer. He was angry that Cheolie wanted to change and become a good student. Heresented that Cheoli said he was not a messiah but while dear cop guy desperately wanted a saviour and to be a disciple of something.

I have more respect for Kyung Min and his suicide mission at least he had a reason for each of his little actions, in the end he is the justice that we need. Took him straight to hell and he tasted the concrete.

Such a heavy, sad trauma trauma-filled drama. NGL it had me in tears in some scenes. It hits very hard and has a bit of blood and gore.

I think the ML(cop) being under constant confusion and far from reality takes away from the message of the show. He doesn't know which version of the truth to believe. I also don't know if a person who pops so many pills or has delusions is even allowed to handle a weapon and be a cop. He is a danger to himself and society.

yes, FL was a pain to watch and the way she lowers her voice when she speaks.

I watched this 10+ year old drama for Dennis Oh and my eyes did not regret gazing upon his handsome face and such a great smile as well. As for everything else, it's a drama that stays true to the era of spineless, angelic, dumb females and those who mindlessly chase & fight over men.

I think there is a longer version with 36 episodes but someone spared us the trauma and these 20 episodes are enough. Thank heavens.

One of the best well-written c-dramas. The SFL back story was very sad, as a girl child who was not loved or appreciated by her mother but was seen as a means to an end. All the scenes where she speaks about the treatment she received at home is a reality for most women in Asia who exist to make the lives of their brothers/male relatives better. In the end, you really can't hate her as she ends up trying to clean up her act.

I hate that the FLs in this type of dramas are always made to be virtuous, forgiving angels who can't even express their anger. Also, the timeline is a little bit off, I'm not sure you can launch a business and become an industry leader in 1 year.

Overall a very good drama.

Great drama but this was sad to watch in light of the real teacher crisis in South Korea in 2023, where teachers have to unalive themself because of students' parents. Sad that parents get to act like this just so their already privileged kids get more privilege. Sad to have to live with so much pressure.

I'm more of a bookworm and I started going to the library with my sister when I was four. I do speed read but enjoy some genres in a leisurely pace ( for example memoirs/biographies). I think it depends with someone's interests and I'm generally a sponge kind of person that finds random facts interesting and am generally curious about life in general. So I will go out of my way to find information just for fun.I've surprised myself sometimes (lol). I like too many things and need a 48 hour day to fit all. I'm in my late 20's.

All that weeping in the first episode kind of took me by surprise. I will be back.

just the News , and some Medical Shows or shows with a lot of text on the screen (some jdramas) reduce speed to 1.5x

What's a normal speed? My brain is wired that way and as long there are subtitles I don't miss anything.Besides most Asian dramas like Thai Lakorn, Kdramas all have white space that adds nothing to the story. I don't have to watch people cry or shout or think long & hard. So I'm fine.

I have a lot of catching up to do, so many dramas to watch but so little time. Miyamoto is actually one of the few characters that I remember out of all the many movies I watched. Weak but willing to stand up for what's right.The screaming and weird fighting antics was funny but the subject matter really sad.

I was like let me check it out for ten minutes to see but I found myself watching the whole 16 episodes. Wow, It's a mixture of makjang, suspense, and a gripping story. I could guess some of the mystery but I guess the story of the little girl kept me going and wanting to find out her revenge. I just had to see just how evil these people really were. The political parts were boring but the important thing is I could continue watching it. Oh, and it reminds you of " How to Get Away with Murder" the Korean version

In this case you're the one that needs to learn about the differences and give a fair comment about what you're watching. You said "jdramas" and I corrected your misconception. This is not all "jdramas" and they definitely know what they were doing and what they are doing according to the specific type of genre.They made the drama for their audience like me who have a clear understanding of this specific type of art form. Move on to something else more palatable.

They're not meant to be taken as realism. There's no attempt to hide the exaggeration and overacting, it's intentional. It's more about the message and themes than creating real situations. The internal monologues of characters, their overactive imagination and their "head voice"

It's similar to asking why wrestling is so corny. It's a specific genre, and the elements of that genre are understood by those who are fans of it. You're maybe looking at it through the lens of a different genre: HBO kind of drama, for example. You can also find that kind of drama too, but not on mainstream TV in the traditional slots for ドラマ.

So you have watched "most" jdramas". That's pretty impressive, I've watched some jdramas and I'm curious. Maybe you can help me? Do these females also act like this in Taigas, Asadoras, Tokusatsu, Tanpatsu,Action,Mystery,Sci-fi,Procedural,Medical and Life dramas?

Don't make such generalized statements.This is not true, maybe in the jdramas you have watched they are like that and we can put this to "genre" preferences but not every jdrama is like this. Specific genre is like this.

Don't embarrass yourself. Saying "jdramas need to learn that there is a difference between cartoons and real life..." is a sign that you haven't really watched a lot of jdrama. You just need to be able to distinguish between a josei manga adaptation and "trendy" dramas. Not everything in jdramas is serious or the same. I read manga as well and so it's easy for me to understand and relate to these expressions. Find other serious dramas to watch, there are so many genres of jdramas out there, don't bash a whole sub-genre just coz you don't get it. If you need recommendations for serious dramas let me know.

I understand that you were ranting but the show gives you clues on why people don't speak up...did you notice that in episode 3 the ladies discuss about how certain "trouble" employees were moved to a certain department because they were deemed as troublesome and were being silently punished even the woman who asked for an extension on her maternity leave. The company's solution is to hide them away. I think this is the same reason why, few people would be willing to retaliate because you pay with professional censure one way of the other. So speaking up sometimes is not a viable option unless you're ready to be shunned and punished.

I watched the drama you're referring to and no she didn't find through Instagram that her daughter was coming back, but rather she figured out the plan of her enemy that she was likely to try kidnap her child, because she was obsessed with her daughter. Furthermore the child confirmed that it was her aunt or that she knew the woman. It was obvious from the plot that this was going to happen in that drama (plot device). (Jang Nara : My Happy Ending)
