Don't embarrass yourself. Saying "jdramas need to learn that there is a difference between cartoons and real life..."…
In this case you're the one that needs to learn about the differences and give a fair comment about what you're watching. You said "jdramas" and I corrected your misconception. This is not all "jdramas" and they definitely know what they were doing and what they are doing according to the specific type of genre. They made the drama for their audience like me who have a clear understanding of this specific type of art form. Move on to something else more palatable.

They're not meant to be taken as realism. There's no attempt to hide the exaggeration and overacting, it's intentional. It's more about the message and themes than creating real situations. The internal monologues of characters, their overactive imagination and their "head voice"

It's similar to asking why wrestling is so corny. It's a specific genre, and the elements of that genre are understood by those who are fans of it. You're maybe looking at it through the lens of a different genre: HBO kind of drama, for example. You can also find that kind of drama too, but not on mainstream TV in the traditional slots for ćƒ‰ćƒ©ćƒž.

In jdramas most female act like that .
So you have watched "most" jdramas". That's pretty impressive, I've watched some jdramas and I'm curious. Maybe you can help me? Do these females also act like this in Taigas, Asadoras, Tokusatsu, Tanpatsu,Action,Mystery,Sci-fi,Procedural,Medical and Life dramas?

Don't make such generalized statements. This is not true, maybe in the jdramas you have watched they are like that and we can put this to "genre" preferences but not every jdrama is like this. Specific genre is like this.

Don't embarrass yourself. Saying "jdramas need to learn that there is a difference between cartoons and real life..." is a sign that you haven't really watched a lot of jdrama. You just need to be able to distinguish between a josei manga adaptation and "trendy" dramas. Not everything in jdramas is serious or the same. I read manga as well and so it's easy for me to understand and relate to these expressions. Find other serious dramas to watch, there are so many genres of jdramas out there, don't bash a whole sub-genre just coz you don't get it. If you need recommendations for serious dramas let me know.

I understand that you were ranting but the show gives you clues on why people don't speak up...did you notice that in episode 3 the ladies discuss about how certain "trouble" employees were moved to a certain department because they were deemed as troublesome and were being silently punished even the woman who asked for an extension on her maternity leave. The company's solution is to hide them away. I think this is the same reason why, few people would be willing to retaliate because you pay with professional censure one way of the other. So speaking up sometimes is not a viable option unless you're ready to be shunned and punished.

I watched the drama you're referring to and no she didn't find through Instagram that her daughter was coming back, but rather she figured out the plan of her enemy that she was likely to try kidnap her child, because she was obsessed with her daughter. Furthermore the child confirmed that it was her aunt or that she knew the woman. It was obvious from the plot that this was going to happen in that drama (plot device). (Jang Nara : My Happy Ending)

Anywhere this is the end of this conversation, you are more than welcome to make your own observations about King the Land the same way everyone in the comment section has done.

You would benefit from reading my comment again, as I mentioned that there are "many unrealistic things" I mentioned the ones that irked me and rubbed me the wrong way. You're the one with poor comprehension skills.

Entering a country legally and illegally are not up for discussion here, because as I mentioned different procedures and protocols.

Yes, kids routinely get lost and left in airports I've read about it but the fact that the parent in your example went to the airport to pick up their child means she has done the correct procedures in the first place. My argument is the mother was not even aware he was coming home in the drama. Probable if the son lived in the same country, but highly unlikely in the scenario.

Yes, dramas are fiction but even fiction is subject to the correct realism and authenticity otherwise it is reduced to a caricature like this drama lacking credibility.

You're still missing the point. This was not about their rich status and the affordability of air tickets but rather the process and procedure required to make sure an unaccompanied minor travels in a believable way.

I find it hard to believe that as a guardian of her son she didn't know that he would be arriving in Korea. You just don't cross International borders as if you're crossing the river. The parent still need to sign and provide evidence because of human trafficking, for example for Korean Airlines a Custodianship Declaration form. Some airlines required to bring photo identification and a contact phone number, plus the name, address and phone number of the adult meeting them at their destination. Even rich people are not exempt from travel procedures especially where kids are involved.

So, the scenario didn't make sense because they would need parental permission prior to travel.

has one31 stop subbing their shows now because I want see this and don't seem like anyone pick it
Thai fansubbers also just don't sub any drama without their famous leads that most people like. They love their ships and will stick to that. They seem to be very choosy and always have a reason to pick up the drama. I wish they would sub more horror and supernatural dramas because they have tons that are not subbed and feel like they are very strong in that genre.

You have to book the unaccompanied minor service with most airlines to be able to fly a child and they have to be a certain age mostly 12 or older. And even then an adult or parent has to pick them up from the airport. That child actor was 9 or 10 , so it's hard to imagine that the mother didn't know that he would be arriving and telling him to go back like the US is a bus-ride away.

Thanks, but you missed my point. Kids don't travel alone or even be able to buy plane tickets for themselves.Heck, you have to jump hoops to travel with a child that's not yours providing proof that it's not trafficking. So that didn't make sense to me.

By Thai lakorn standards, this was pretty decent. It has its own flaws but the storyline flowed very well and the high production value made it aesthetically pleasing to the eye. This is my fifth Prang drama and I think she did so well in this role, her crying scenes almost had me crying ( I said almost lol). She did a great job. Film's acting wasn't convincing in this role but his kisses looked sweet enough. Would rate it as 7.8, an above-average lakorn.

Watched it on the official One31 Channel on Youtube with subtitles.

people are allowed to have different tastes and opinions... what great to you may be mid to someone else...
While it's understandable that people have different tastes and opinions, there's a vast difference between subjective preference and deliberate manipulation. Fake ratings on MDL are rampant and they not only mislead potential viewers but also undermine the hard work and creativity of filmmakers.

Fake ratings not only deceive audiences but also create a skewed perception of what constitutes quality in film making. They perpetuate a culture where the merit of a movie is judged not by its actual content but by the number of stars it accumulates on a website. This not only undermines the integrity of the film industry but also discourages creativity and innovation.

It's disheartening to think that a talented filmmaker's work could be unfairly dismissed or overshadowed by fraudulent ratings generated by individuals with ulterior motives or because they fav is the ML.So, before you decide to manipulate a movie's rating, consider the impact it has on the filmmakers and the audience who deserve to make their own informed decisions.

In essence, fake ratings are a disservice to both audiences and filmmakers alike. They erode trust, hinder honest discourse, and ultimately diminish the appreciation of cinema as an art form. Instead of resorting to deceptive tactics,
let's engage in constructive dialogue about the movies we love and appreciate.

Yeah, as someone that loves all of Asian cinema and wants to give a chance to some countries that I've never watched before, it's incredibly frustrating. I would love to see credit and more exposure to all the dramas that deserve credit. MDL needs a weighing system like Letterboxd that's not easily manipulated and when bombarded by fake reviews and votes.

A very realistic look at growing old, being gay, and being alone. There is saggy, old sick and bodies that are falling apart but they tell a story of being true to yourself. Gay people eventually grow old like everyone else. The author's stories of the worm and the rooster gives so much background to the story being told.

Loved the journey that both of our MLs had to take to accept themself and the concept of family. It was thought-provoking and had a lot of discussion points. I'm glad I watched it after searching for a long time. It's the sort of story that most people who are ageist and like pretty BL shows would never like.

The rich always go for white collar crimes and other frauds especially investments and hedge funds and stock market.
It's more about the risk and the thrill involved in these high stacks things like stock market and investments. Risk is huge and the profit is also huge. We live in different worlds and different mentality, you can never convince me to play the lotto but some people won't hesitate betting their life on it.
