I was wondering if TQ actually liked SCC in middle school at first, but something happened, (some misunderstanding, humiliation), that made him dislike her and hold a strong grudge against her? Or, before he got a chance to know her, someone (who maybe wanted to separate them) badmouth her, which made him have this bad perspective of her? We are yet to see how all this started back in middle school.
Not sure if we saw the same previews since I saw some upcoming clips on Douyin but Fan Jin (SCC) is making her…
That looks to me like man inside that room is doing harm to TQ, she suspects it and she will try to help, which will result in her bringing new persona into TQ's life. Of course, this is just my prediction and I could be wrong.
I have a feeling that this bangle was given to SCC not to help her but to help Tang Qi. When she saved that boy and he saw it, it was a moment of glory for her, a moment where the guy she was pining after for half of her life could see how wonderful she is and change his perception of her - jet, the bangle turned her into Su Miao and he felt for non existing woman. Then, she went as alpaca to his house to erase the last things that can connect her with Su Miao, and that ended with her giving him emotional comfort. Preview of ep. 10 suggests that new persona she is about to create will be also created to help him in a need. So, I was wondering if a bangle is about him, not about her at all.
How are they going to fix this??? They could've just said she went abroad and didn't want to see anyone. Killing…
I think this is the safest way to eliminate Su Miao, so he could stop looking for her for good. He was so obsessed with finding her in the first place, chasing her, not taking "no" for an answer and so on. So, girls took the easiest way out. BUT! What they didn't count in is how deep he felt for SM. They thought he is this shallow dude, with shallow emotions, so he would forget about SM in a day or two. But, they left him heartbroken, what in not something they intended to do. Miscalculation. But, the whole drama is about misunderstandings, miscommunications and miscalculations so far.
I have to disagree with this. First time she appeared in front of him as Su Miao was out of her control. Wasn't planed. She didn't use this new superpower to get close to ML so he could like her. As SM she was avoiding him and running away from him like hell. And he was pursuing her quite obsessively, lets be honest. She told him word "no" so many times. She literary jumped in the cold river in the middle of the night to get away from his confession. At the end they had to eliminate the character, because if she stayed alive he would obviously go "to the end of the Earth" to find her. He went to zoo to see alpaca he spent half a day with, imagine what would he do if SM didn't die. P.S. I don't think he is scumbag, he is just blind to see FL's true colors and has strong prejudices against her.
Hang on a second, are you talking about the case of a serial killer butcher woman who was killing other women?…
I'm sorry, I won't engage anymore in this conversation since I really don't care about this drama and my point of view and sentiment won't change. I feel compassion for her, ML and you don't. You have right to feel different. I do expect people to have empathy for others, and this won't change because some folks can't do it. So, if you like this ML and drama, you enjoy it to the max. All the best.
Isn't this similar to the Korean drama "Perfume"...?
It's too early to tell, tbh. But, my 2 cents: The premise that one must first accept and love herself, be true to herself and bring out confidence from self acceptance is present in both dramas. Both dramas explore the concept of beauty, beauty standards and inner beauty. Both MLs are unlikable in the beginning. In Perfume ML is successful but broken and lonely soul, and in Filter it doesn't look he has some mental trauma. Both dramas have some misunderstandings between the leads. But, what I see as major difference is that leads in Perfume used to like each other, while in Filter FL has a crush, but ML is afraid of her, is disgusted by her and holds a grudge because he perceives her as his middle school bully. ML in Perfume doesn't really has a problem with her fat version, FL does, while in Filter ML's dislike is so strong that he can't see anything good in FL, and can't notice how kind and good hearted person she is. He will (I guess) discover her true inner beauty through her filter personas (according to synopsis she will have more than one, and I am here waiting for alpaca!)
It appears to me that someone has changed synopsis, because now it makes sense to me. It also makes sense why ML is written as.. well... (sort of) jerk. If he wasn't, we would feel sorry for his "heartbreaks" and that would kill the initial premise of the story. So, he will have to do some serious "grow up", while both of them will have to clear some misunderstandings and misconceptions they have about each other. So far, so good.
P.S. I don't think he is scumbag, he is just blind to see FL's true colors and has strong prejudices against her.
And, Perfume didn't have an alpaca, lol!
