CHEN JUN HE ♥♥♥♥, he left such a big impression on me. He made me smile, laugh, cry and feel so happy ♥. Such a well written character and I'm so proud to say he's the best male character of 2020 for me and the best second lead ever in my heart ♥. I just simply love this guy and want to write only about him, he's simply the type of guy we all want to have in our life, so fierce yet so kind, gentle, reliable, loyal and generous. Well if I could I would give a 10 to this drama only for him but ahah there are a lot of things I was unhappy and disappointed with. Anyway the journey was worth it for this guy ♥.
I will not remember this drama for the main characters but for the good vibes it brought me, for the supporting characters and all those book club reunions which were pure moments of happiness, love, smiles and most of all moments for sharing ♥.
I discovered Shi Shi's songs "He isn't worth it" and "Lost on the way" (love this one so much) in late 2018 and completely fell in love with them though I never watched the drama but those songs are so powerful. I love the osts from Just Between Lovers and Meet me at 10.06 as well.
A really good article and really nice you added some descriptions about each song :).
There's nothing much happening but I really enjoyed seeing those four little boys enjoying their days together both at school and outside. Always interesting seeing how kids in the past with so little things could have so much fun ♥. Really enjoyed the 90s settings and the cinematography.
I have watched up to ep 50 and all I can say is that I absolutely, really absolutely love this drama and yet before starting it I was quite reluctant (considering it's a lengthy drama) but as a big fan of Zhao Zanilia I decided to give a try and I don't regret it, well even the opposite as I wished I started it sooner.
What I love the most about this drama is the relationship between Ming Lan and her grandmother, it's just so powerful, so beautiful and genuine. And I simply love the grandma, she's so kind, smart and caring toward Ming Lan, and seeing them together is pure bliss ♥♥♥♥. And the grandma is so cute aaaw ♥. I felt so sad yet so touched and happy seeing how the grandmother couldn't bear to see Ming Lan getting married and leaving her. It shows how their relationship is strong and their love for each other is unwavering. ♥
I also find the interactions between Gu Ting Ye and Sheng Ming Lan so refreshing, I love how natural they are with each other (especially how teasing and humorous Gu Ting Ye is with Ming Lan), it feels so real. Probably one of my fave drama couples. Oh and so satisfying seeing how both of them are so smart, calculating and scheming but being in such a way only to protect themselves and their loved ones.
Definitely one of the best Chinese historical dramas I've watched with one of the best female lead I've ever come across in dramaland.
EP2. Aikawa Kazuki - "I rarely get along with other people. But I get along with the person I wanted to the most, that's more than enough. Long time ago I used to loathe that person. I tried really hard not to get along with him but failed. I couldn't stand it and cried everyday". Mizumoto Ikumi -"You hated him till you cried everyday?" AK- "Our relationship is fine now". MI - "I'm glad you guys made up". AK - "Me too". MI "Does that person like animals too?" AK "Yeah, It's me, I used to hate the past me and cried everyday". Seriously I laughed :p. Aikawa Kazuki is certainly weird but so interesting.
