The whole cheating scene will come, ML will tell her but the worst thing about this whole ordeal is that, drama is trying to push the narrative that she is "Alpha Woman" and its female empowerment.
She is not anything near it cuz you don't have to act like man with serious/extreme character flaws to become strong independent woman, this is a delusion spread by idiot loud mouth's and some weak woman.

I think he was psychopath in past life cuz whatever he was fighting for was directly caused by the Nobel families. Their northern expedition failed cuz Nobel refused to help and even then there was enough money but thanks to their corruption, they made sure not enough supplies reach the front line.
After that, Emperor and ML tried to reform the examination system and again Nobel families went against them and made sure, their reform failed. They refused to pay taxes and hence he can't fix the southern floods, then in order to decrease their power and retake imperial power.
in order to teach nobel families a lesson and force the tax reform to pass, and break the deadlock emperor was forced to raise taxes on general public. If that was enough, in order to give Shagguan Ya (whom they forced to marry emperor) a child, they arranged for Su Elder to have sex with her and cheat on the emperor and then used their power to install Su family bastard as crown prince.
It was a straight treason and Su/Shagguan family openly betrayed the emperor, then they had another charge of deceiving the emperor by saying, it was his child, if that was enough Su Elder killed the imperial concubine Qin and attempted to kill the prince.
WTF Su and shangguan families/ SQR think, Emperor was going to do, when he found out about the whole ordeal. They already deserved three separate death penalties for their crimes and considering everything else, he was only castrating them but they killed themselves in shame.

So, SQR had zero positive motive for revenge and Nobel families were menace to society!
He is just a delusional idiot, if he believes anybody will let them live and maintain the status quo....the greatest idiot of all of them was FL, who went against her own brother and husband and installed Su bastard on the throne.

Yep there were people saying, SQR is trying to protect LR and maybe he didn't kill her in previous life.

To all the people, protecting SQR today. He and his partners were directly responsible for her FL death, had means to save her on hand and watched her die while confessing to SQR full-fill their need of revenge. So, its not like he didn't tried to apologize or explain the situation to her. She never gave him chance to explain himself, when he did ignore it.

Then after this scene and some years, his mother died and he as crying like mad man and was very sad, FL come to perform his duties as wife (send of his mother) with SRQ, he not only apologized and explained the whole Qin Zhen Zhen ordeal (he don't love her and was only saving her).
He properly begged by putting his hands on her legs and feet, while crying for forgiveness but SQR said her highness its time (after listening to ML begging and fearing it may hurt his plan), she literally forcefully removed his hand from legs by kicking and went on to sleep with SQR again (she hurt him even at his mother death).
These things have already happened in drama, so I might as tell you. Why we hate her to much and consider it insult to man, that he chasing her again and putting up with shit.
I am just telling you two events, there are alot more in the novel and you will see, whole boat ordeal.

Here is it and it was referred in novel properly, but drama skimmed over it,

The point I am trying to make is, drama has not changed anything from novel but instead they have removed leads sex scenes/romance, which writer used to balance the hate and make it bearable.

It has not deviated at all, and all major details are there. She will be empress, but drama is going through chapters at super-sonic speed and in doing so, they are skimming over important facts/ character progression points.
Let me give you an example of this behaviour, (Did you remember this scene)

Now I will give you context from novel, what event ML (proving she cheated) from the past was referring to by "Snuggle at night". It was in chp 170 and one of reason, I hate FL character that much,

I know this and even after that, her treatment of ML was not any better. So, that's why I am waiting for all these "Nay sayers" to come up with excuses to justify her behaviour. This is the sole reason, I have not dropped this shit cuz I want to hear the dumb excuses !

Yes but he indirectly killed her (he didn't poison her himself but was directly responsible for poisoning) and knowing very well, she was poisoned didn't tried to save her. I hope they dwell in past bit more cuz things were way more complicated than drama is showing.....apart from ML, everybody (by everybody I mean everybody) else in her life betrayed her!

Lol, Ladies didn't had harem back then and there were two women at max, who had lovers and one of them was Empress Wu and thanks to her lovers. It didn't end well for her !

Let me give you a little spoiler, him attempting to murder ML second time and FL barely saving ML didn't change much for ML.

Lol, accountability in female empowering drama. Even if I had not read the novel it was not going to happen till the other option has become completely unavailable.
