One word, let see till the end of the drama. How much character development she would have....

Its not split down the middle and overwhelming majority is in one side but like I said, they went too far and her behaviour/crimes in previous life are unforgivable.
If it was Xianxia or any other fictional story, I wouldn't have give a "F" if FL humped half the known galaxy, while being married to ML or she was sleeping half of the Sith race/dark force users.... but its supposed to be based on real life in ancient china and they are portraying humans (not aliens).
No living man is going to overlook or forgive "infidelity, emotional torture and then murder (under cheaters persuasion)". To top that off, her motive or reasoning behind doing all that is very weak. He saved his ex-fiancé from certain death and then handed her over to her husband. he wasn't cheating or sleeping !

I am happy someone recognizes the root of the problem and is willing to state the hard/cold facts as they are, these very successful, ultra virgin type of ML are the scourge of c-dramas. I have seen quiet of few c-dramas and usually ignore character like this and never reacted to shit like this, but this time they went far far to extreme.
We are talking open cheating with live broadcast to entire capital, she picked a eunuch over Ml and is sleeping wither her, mental and emotional torture and when she can't torture him anymore....she killed him !
Now in second life, it was ALLL ML fault and now victim is chasing the aggressor...like there is limit to everything and I have 140 c-dramas so far but its the first time. It feels like entire premise of the story was to insult the other gender and I know its fictional story but no man in the world, is going to put up with that much.

The biggest weakness of this plot is her justification for dumping ML in previous life is very weak and her behaviour/crimes from previous life are too big to whitewash with simple of justification of "Start new and move on".
"During the ML scene, yes PWX did say they were just snuggling up to each other but that also implied nothing more". It did imply more cuz he was Eunuch and snuggling, fing or touching was max he can do...you can't expect him to go full cuz he lacks the organ to do so.

First its all connected, and their past life is molding their present, where they are using previous events to change the present. So, I don't think they can pick the good and dump the ugly from their past life. Whole premise of their present relationship stems from their previous 30 years. If its new beginning and past don't matter, then what's justification for her feelings and closeness with SQR. Why the longing in the umbrella scene, court scene and when he purposed marriage less than 12 hours after her husband death, no rebuke, anger or anything, complete silence like she is considering it.
He didn't agree to not interfere, she as a royal princess using her authority FORCED HIM AGAINST his will to give her open right to cheat, she overreacted cuz he saved his ex fiance from certain death and after saving, he hand it over to her husband (didn't cheat or spent time together). She demanded divorce but, in those times nobody can divorce the Imperial family member....and asking for it from emperor is 100% guaranteed death.
So they didn't separated on will, she gave him ultimatum him to either die/ destroy his career at minimum or put up her infidelity !

Secondly, I don't think FL has learned any lesson up to this point, viewers are angry cuz leads had "Full and open communication" in which they put everything on the table and made commitments, but FL (rain scene) don't seem to follow them and continue her arrogant behaviour. ML told her to don't make one sided decision that effects both of them and discuss with him before making any moves, but did she listen to him and discuss anything with him.
Unlike majority of angry people here, I know she designed the whole assassination plot cuz assassins were targeting ML life and she put herself in danger to save him....but did she communicate, nope instead ML went on romantic vacation and she went on hunting vacation. Not to mention this could have went very bad and ML could have died cuz of it.

Unfortunately, whole thing has turned into gender war and its very difficult to get your point across. People are willing to give 1000 of justification for FL behaviour and all we ask for is "Separation" to allow FL to sort out her emotions, deal with baggage from previous relationship and decide what she wants in life !
ML can also try his luck with other people and decide what's best for him and if he chooses FL in the end, then its what its !

Lol I don't remember the exact episode but, in the episode, where FL talked to her other self from the past, her past self said you were together with him 20 years...are you sure you don't have feelings for him. If they were only friends, her past self would have cleared it to her and they won't use word together in relationship sense. It was the first confirmation,

Then we had ML bath scene, in which he was talking to his past self...his past self said "in past life at-least she was my wife, so they can only snuggle up to each other in bed at night"
Did you hear it, these are the exact lines from the drama and drama confirmed it without a shadow of the doubt, THEY WERE SLEEPING TOGETHER and SHE WAS CHEATING ON ML.

Its literally a fact at this point and don't where, leads will have discussion again around ep 35 and ML will give full detailed encounter to the FL, how he discovered they were cheating and walked in on them, having the sex!
Lol, I get it the intention of the writer was to make story in which "Love transcends" above everything but they went too far and now justifying, infidelity, emotional torture and when then death by aggressor hands (when she can't torture him). After all this shit, victim is again going to/chasing aggressor to be "F" all over again and she has no regret or accountability, let alone even making up to him. The biggest problem with this drama is lack of accountability by both parties but especially FL !
