Okay I thought you were talking about this, in the past crown prince became emperor and crown prince FL and SML was supporting before her death was current crown prince/future emperor supposed son but the real catch was, in this life you can see Shangguan Ya loved Su elder...it was same in the past life (Empress Ya cheated with su elder and was in on FL/ML murder) and crown prince FL was supporting before her death was SQR dead brother son. I have only read some parts of ML previous life chapter and they are talking about the ending, as you can see I wasn't that anti-female but that shit chapter is blood curdling ! I guessed all the other details and you will be able to do it too, after you have seen enough of this shit. C-dramas usually follow the generic pattern and certain things/crime/events always relate to certain things. For instance, I knew (in first 5 min) they slept together cuz in first episode SML was massaging her neck, sitting on her bed, he was holding her hand and the way they communicated are all the classical signs that point to one things in c-dramas....they are F...ing. I knew form first episode SML killed her cuz he wasn't showing genuine remorse or crying on her death...C-drama directors always make sure to show-up the close up of villain face fake smile in cases after successful assassinations like that cuz they tend play it again with grey filter when victim learns, who actually harmed him and recall these things in their memory.

I have not read the novel, but somebody enlightened me to the details of her behaviour and from neutral point of view, ML ex-fiancé was dying, he saved her and called her husband (Emperor). Not once he tried to sleep with her, but FL went on rampage and did all that to him, while still being officially married. I am saying its cheating cuz outside world didn't knew about their deal, and to them ML was just a cuck putting up with his wife shit. Morally/Ethically and legally...it was cheating and whatever deal which she cut with ML by threatening him with severe consequences don't matter...people are making it sound like he happily agreed and there was no powerplay involved. Like he had any chance of successfully divorcing her without ruining/losing his life. He was forced to put up with this shit and emperor killed Su family not cuz he had any sympathy for ML, Su family rebelled and attempted to replace the emperor with his brother (who was su family member).
I tried to read the novel but its just so sad and very hard to read...I will give my reason for hating this, I started watching c-dramas in 2019 and things were good, then after 2021 the quality of ML started to go down tremendously. This year 2024 has been brutal with atrocious ML putting up with extreme shit and as a man, it makes your blood boil. You guys see an angry man....but I have enough of very successful/high quality ultra virgin ML, putting up worst possible shit, just to settle down with Fl in the end..when she was done romancing ten ML. I have come in terms with idea of dropping the genera all together. These will probably the last c-drama i will ever watch.
