LXY is wonderful but swap is not done properly, and FL acting is lack-Luster as compared to the potential of the script. JJY is seasoned actress but her performance in this one can even hold candles to newbie Zhou Ye portrayal in "Scent of Time".

Henceforth the cycle of stupidity starts and I am amazed at SML antics cuz he knows very well. She wanted to marry ML (cuz she likes him) but still he decided to insert himself in the situation. I am even more amazed by the fact that, he is supposed to be "very smart and mysterious" leader here but he openly went against Imperial family.
Killing the kin/extended family member (he has engagement with FL) of ruling dynasty is akin to open rebellion and he may have few ruffians with him here BUT when Imperial army rolls in, heads will roll and entire city will be sacked. They will have no problem dealing with few roaming idiots !
The other clans know this very well and hence wants him to do the deed, which again makes zero sense cuz there will be investigation and rebellious faction will be found....I suspect FL new brother has something to do with rebellious faction in the capital.
FL (acting) is okay here and I am not saying, she is slaying it cuz unlike her previous roles. This one had the depth and we were supposed to see the inner dialogue, layered emotions, deep hatred for ML during initial stages, spike in emotions and fighting of two sides after revelation of ML innocence and person struggling with choices, BUT FL acting is uni-tone here like they Hard-reset her memories and emotions. Then proceeded to recover some of them, so she remembers some things.

I feel that to but ML is a very good actor and I think the graph will skew in his favour, once he starts reclaiming his wife.

FL newfound friend is the "Silver organization" young boss and he approached her with nefarious purpose, he killed the concubine there by snatching the knife out of wolf with invisibility cloak (cuz God know how entire crowd didn't see him). He is doing this to get ML killed with a borrowed knife (pin the blame on gambler family/clan) cuz whoever guts ML have to deal with repercussions of killing an relative of imperial family.

Its FL fake friend, who is the master of the "Silver organization" and he is trying to get them killed with a borrowed knife.

Yeah its pretty good so far and she isn't the best actress but definitely bearable in this one.

No side characters or even Love triangle cuz leads were always into each other and chemistry/kiss scenes are good but leads start dating late in the series at like ep19.

Its start of her professional career and still she is doing a lot better than a lot of actress in the industry. I don't think its entirely her fault here cuz Jeremy is a very powerful actor and he has ability to make even nothing look glamours.
I am really happy she got to work with talented actor but mismatch in her capability is obvious and I really hope, she got to learn something from him cuz chances like this rarely come.

The 120 working days have passed and with it the legal deadline for publication of most significant tax issues have also passed, so we can hope for her return and she may make a comeback in Summer cuz it was really in excess of 45 billion RMB. They could have arrested her at this point and put her in Jail but looks like She is either clear or may be fined very minute amount.

I haven't started it yet and 2023 has been really disappointing for me, there were few Okay/good dramas so far but nothing out of ordinary with unique story.

but in case of Bai Lu and Dilruba, he got the clout to reject scenes, but he still proceeded to do it. If he kisses Xing Fei then he is the real "Prisoner of beauty" and I were the woman, I wouldn't care if my man kissed some normal looking gal due to his job qualification cuz I know he won't leave me for her.
I would definitely care/notice if some "Glorious and bodacious" single woman like Dilruba, loaded with sponsors money kissed my man.

Well Jing Tian is another woman worth fighting wars for.....so makes sense BUT still, man has been breaking his principle for attractive woman.

Although I don't hate short series but they have been rampant this year and even O.G viewers are taken back by their proliferation. I hope something good drops soon !
