Its very difficult to get out of "Typecasting and traffic" roles, once you get yourself into them and after certain period nobody will offer you anything meaningful anymore. Gen-Z was a good watch but its no way near a breakthrough role at all.
I enjoy her drama's but you can't put the fame of LLTG and her other popular releases squarely on her and yes you are right, Bai Lu may not be the top actress right now but she is very near to achieving it.
I don't judge dramas based on rumors and scripts and when "Legend of Jewelry" comes out, I will judge it based on the content. That being said, all her releases belong to same category,
Where she is playing the same role over and over again with minor changes and I have not seen play some extraordinary dark character, conveying the layered character with grey elements. She is not young anymore and Robert De-Niro, Jack Nicholson, Al Pacino, Katharine Hepburn, Bette Davis, Audrey Hepburn and alot of great actor gave their best work after this age.

There is a term for it in the industry and its known as "Typecasted", and its one of the greatest evil of the actors life. Lu Si really really need to pick some good adult roles and shed "cute and childish" image.
I want her to follow Bai Lu footsteps and pick random roles and then she would be able to surpass everybody in terms of acting capability. I am a huge fan of Lusi but I wouldn't lie about the facts. She lacks the emotional range of powerful actors like Bai Lu, Luo Yun Xi, Allen Ren and Jeremy Tusi and if she didn't correct this mistake early on in her career it will permanently scar her career.
The good example of above-mentioned phenomena is Dilruba, she is trying very hard to shed the image of cute and beautiful vase, who can't act and her recent releases like Blue Wisper, Long Ballad and others speak volumes about her acting Prowess but cast is set and she can't shed this image anymore.
Lusi is hard working and very talented actor, so I hope people give her good advice and she make drastic changes in her career trajectory. I am not comparing her with Bai Lu to disrespect her......I hope whats best for her.

I was joking these are bogus charges made by disgruntled employ cuz uptil 2020 her taxes were filed by her management agency. So the claim is for two years, going by her net worth of past two years, its impossible she earned enough money to warrant the tax-return of45 Million RMB.

These are bogus charges and her name will be cleared but the damage done to her career is permanent and She will not be hired by any good production house for anything after this.

in simple words scenarios shown in C-Drama are realistic and unlike other Asian entertainment industries, they show this cuz they don't have a lot of international fans.
While K-Drama and J-Drama industries white-wash their drama's to show un-natural and fantasy land portrayal of their countries and cultures. You should read the SKOP novel and then decide on this matter cuz I think he delivered on everything and even toned down some crazy parts, granted he is no Luo Yun Xi by any means or capacity but guy got the capacity and is on right track for a 25-year-old with few shows under his name.
I know Bai Lu is not the top dog in C-Drama industry but she has worked with very good actors, so its not easy to hold your own in front of her.

I recommend you read the novel before making the decision cuz its delivered on every aspect and even managed to tone down some extremely crazy parts.
