Did you watched any of the above mentioned drama's?

WoW there is no need to make statements like this and in reality Kdrama's are one's with bloated ratings, take Vincenzo for instance. It has 8.9 rating and then we have Cdrama's like Go-Ahead, LLTG, Navarnia in Fire and others at same rating.
While in reality Vincenzo is vastly inferior to above mentioned tv-series in everything.....

I personally believe all of us has been there....made rookie mistakes but we learned from them.

I called Luo Yun Xi a method actor not Bai Lu but I would let the general public be the judge of that, when after one moth Last immortal final ratings and business comes in (currently trolls are behind low ratings)

Well then you are entitled to your opinion but she did won multiple awards for her acting and Luo Yun Xi did specially picked her for his drama TOTEM, which he produced.

I think according to synopsis of the show, one of them is Humanoid and about 30 years old but you could be right cuz I have not read the original novel.

How do I explain it to you?
I didn't see the major difference in her characters and in good "Method acting" the actor completely change the way they talk, act, behave, eat and even think. I would like to quo Luo Yun Xi character from TOTEM here....the way he talked, acted, behaved and eat, you can see a person with no hope and deep hatred but then throughout the series, you can see a person slowly gaining confidence and all the above-mentioned attributes change along with his place in society as great conqueror.
Bai Lu played three different roles in there and she did phenomenal job cuz they were different and she did showed character development and behavioral change during these roles BUT,
Lusi here picked four roles.....changed the major/obvious things and stuck to them....I didn't see her completely morph her character, in those roles it was same old Zhao Lusi.
again I am not criticizing her or calling her shit here and I can understand bai Lu is lucky to have worked with great actors like Luo Yun Xi and Allen Ren multiple times and have that experience under her belt.
She is big shot now (at-least internationally) and she should make demands like expectational script and Legendary co-stars. Its my personal observation Zhao Lusi tends to shy away from complex and layered characters and she kinda lacks in that department. I want her to pick something like Blue Wisper and perform complex character like Dilruba did, where you have to laugh at situation, while showing pain of betrayal and being locked up.
again for the Love of God, I was not dissing her and comparing her with other actress to call her shit....so don't start WW3 here with me, these were simple observation and suggestion.

I was going to say something similar to this but damnn, there is a whole firing squad ready to kill anything, that says anything against it.
First I would repeat the same thing, I am Zhao Lusi fan and member of Instagram propaganda page/club Zhaolusi.keluli BUT,
I have been saying this for very long time, Lusi got type-casted in this role and now people are complaining about it. Every actor needs a good mix of different roles and drama's to keep their fans engaged, in almost every fanbase their is a minority of hardcore fans (who will support their star, no matter what) and majority of casual interlopers.
The role Lusi is playing in this drama is very similar to the ones, she had played in her old work and unfortunately script in this one lacks the capability of older ones to show her ACE, aka Comedic timing.
Lusi acting in TLI (considering TOTEM, LLTG, SOKP, Nivarnia in Fire, Untamed and story of MingLan as standard) was mediocre and it knida felt rushed, I hold director and editor accountable for this one along with Lusi.
I personally believe its her F@cking agency fault and she should get rid of them as fast as possible, they should have picked something good for her but nope. They are using her to launch new actors, instead of doing everything possible for biggest star of their studio.

Good director, Great actress but ML is so so in my opinion. I really hope it doesn't suffer from shortcomings of this one with dominant FL and mediocre ML but Bai Lu has been known to make good choices....

I just hope people stop this non-sense everywhere cuz new members of mdl page tend to take ratings seriously and miss out on targeted masterpieces. I knew you were woman of culture, when I saw the pic of Su Zai Zai.

How do I explain it?
The ratings were stuck at 8.6 in start but recently a lot of people give it 9 cuz it picked up in the middle but instead of responding positively to good ratings, the counter is stuck cuz of minority which rated it very poorly like 1 star.
Take "Story of kunning palace" for instance, during its airing it went to 8.1 and remain at 8.4 due to 'Wonderland of love" trolls but now its at 8.8, slowly recovering the original number and over the time, it will achieve its stable rating.

Well you will be surprised by the amount of people, who do shit like this here and artificially inflate the rating of their "idiol" drama's. I didn't know about the person @Looking4secondarycouples is talking about but once I said something positive about this drama on Demon comment section (and I wasn't even talking shit about anything).
The retaliatory "Counter-attack" I received for it was mind boggling and I would give you another example of drama with said phenomena "Wonderland of Love" and insane/deranged ' there made more than 10+ accounts per person to troll people and inflate the ratings, if you don't believe me trying saying anything remotely negative at the "Hidden Love" or "The Last immortal" forum.

Yeah good Job you have compared a newbie to a seasoned actress....try comparing to her peers like Ni Ni and Tan Slngyun, leave her out of this and the SML stood no chance till the end, FL pretty much completely ignored him after initial episodes.

There is no drama and any event that drops to make the plot go forward. I mean "When I fly towards you" also had had no drama but still the characters and storyline moved forward.....but its kinda bland.

Its 32 hours of nothing with no character development and any misunderstanding or anything....
