Nope then I challenge you to watch Go-Ahead and other C-Drama with proper deep storylines and good acting before making a conclusion. I am not judging but you seem to be fan of simple and straight-forward plots.

TTEOTM was actually not their fault cuz before Chinese censorship law, it was supposed to be in 2 parts and 2nd part was supposed to be about their 4th life in mortal realm.
That was the final novel Happy-ending and Tantai Jin would have spent his life with his daughter and wife and this time, it was Su Su who spent thousands of years looking for him and She made sure they had the happy life after that.

First two episodes are imp for any drama cuz they have to be captivating enough to sway people towards its side, take "Hidden Love" for example.
It attracted people attention and also managed to deliver the man premise of the story "problematic age gap" and friends little sister and now they are building upon it.
I am huge Kim tae Ri fan but I don't think its gone be a hit,

No they are usually rated way high, simple rule of MDL -0.5 for K-Drama and + 0.3-4 for C-drama.
Example: Love like the Galaxy and Vicenzo are not in same league, but people have managed to rate them 9.0 and again Go-Ahead is rated at 9 but some Korean drama's are above that, they don't even hold candle to its story telling and acting.

Its easy to find a source of poison but very difficult to deal with insider job, many powerful civilizations and generals have fallen to traitor. As for your battle-place selection is concerned, they had double the amount of troops and CWD was very overconfident, that his own people won't betray him but we know, what happened there.

Well I called it long before it happened and our hero CWD is finally dead but still to all those WJG fans, I really hope you get to see the cowardness of that idiot. They had double the forces, disease was rampant in his camp but still it took betrayal of his own man to defeat him.
Mo Xi is now trying to be heroine but still they are doubts regarding CWD death, like how they managed to save her but didn't see a dead body on top of her. I would only believe he is dead, if I personally saw them burry him and then Mo Xi went again after 1 week and the grave was not disturbed.
If that's not the case, Mo Xi probably don't have the capability to deal with those corrupt officials and it would even be more difficult now, considering they have the mine. They can literally make new weapons and overthrow the emperor.

I wanted him to die more than anyone but its Chinese drama and I highly doubt, they will let them get away with it. The story has not finished, and they have nothing to fill remaining two episodes with.
It could have made perfect sense, if it was the last episode but we have two episodes left and by your summary WJG has proven himself to be "Legendary Coward", so he is not going to do anything. Wu Yin was with them from the very start, so he won't do anything about the result.
So, the only way they can make last two episodes good is by somehow reviving CWD and he doing rounds in capital city assassinating Wu Lang and other ministers, then obtaining permit of his innocence.
Another ending could be Wu guy finally deciding to Kill the emperor and enthrone himself and CWD can also appear there.

are you sure CWD death is confirmed cuz there is Youku poster doing rounds, which shows CWD with face mask and Mo Xi riding together on the horse.
