A Journey to Love, this title I find can also be apply to our cassanova Yu Shi San, a man who can't be tamed, his way to find love.

I hv my trust on the writer that she will too make a decent character development for our fierce, rebel princess Chu Ye, just like what we had with Yang Ying (I mean look at her & how excellent she is rn!).
Chu Ye came across as a character who see one's worth only from his/her social status background.

Her former self won't ever bat an eye on Shi San, an ex prisoner, a man from enemies land, with no title, a womanizer who can't ever be settled.
But she'll realize his value is so much more than that after her unusual encounter with him (esp on her vulnerable, heartbroken state) & see his depth.

I really appreciate the writer, she really know how to make a note worthy great character & great character's development, with integrity & even witty dialogues, excellent bantering, unique & mature pairing, make it a total wholesome experience to watch this drama (read: their journey to find love) ❤️

On the contrary, the last two ep by far is my fav ep to date that I keep on replaying (RIP replay button) coz I find it's the most fun ep & SS CY have an oozing chemistry. I really appreciate they gave these ep to us to cherish before all hell break loose (ik am gonna cry my heart out loosing one & another fav character of mine).

I find it's a decent, unique set up, a night to remember for SS-CY growing feelings, they even manage to give a proper, beautiful closure for his love line with Mei Niang & looking from the upcoming preview, MV & such oh their doom relationship will be so beautiful & heartwrenching and I'm totally onboard with it ❤️

If I met Shi San, I'll be a goner in no time too, he's not only charming & fluent with his words but more importantly know how to show sincerity, warmth, make you feel respected & know your worth better, even lift up your mood on top of that.

I swear this drama hands down has the best ML character's writing with Ning & now Shi San, together they make a deadly combination & set the bar so high for others to follow let alone compete, where can I find one like 'em? 😂

He stood out for me even on The Longest Promise, so much that I fell into his rabbit hole watching most of his filmography, he's a great actor with range & deserves more recognition & better projects to show his acting chop 🥹 🙌

Nothing in the writing of her character indicates she understood human emotion well coz to me she doesn't even understand herself let alone ML, later she'll throw tantrum after realizing her own manipulative way to force the ML into the throne came at the expense of her free will, so I'd never say he's a dreamer & she's a realist, rather she's an idealist (with a very big Pride) & he's a realist.
In real life this two kind of people wouldn't last long in relationship coz they hv too much substantial difference in principal and shd go their own way respectively otherwise there'll be a huge amount of argument along the way more than it's worth.

Ugh ikr, the writer shd learn from a Journey to Love writer & take note how to write a ruthless badass FL but can also be a good lover with mature talk & healthy relationship, that drama's writing is magnificent, WoL doesn't hold a candle next to it

She's only getting worse for me, she likes to play her card even on the ML too, quite manipulative I'd say & spoiled. I can't seem to ever complete this drama no matter I've been dragging myself to coz I can't support the leads to be together, they're just so imbalance & imo the FL isn't a good lover, at all.

No words can describe enough how amazing & satisfying this drama so far in all aspect.

Whether it's romance, friendship, non stop hilarious comedy, intrique, politics, strong smart intelligent FL ML with high integrity, character's development with real natural growth, heart to heart communication & mature talk, epic fights, wholesome adorable squad, complex layered characters, excellent acting, each one of them are perfectly crafted making it truly a wonderful experience to watch this drama, such an ART!
