I guess it's for consistency since if they did the opposite, the three ghost will be vanished during shamanism they did for evil spirit (one of the three ghost said something like this in the previous ep tho I don't quite remember who, lol)

It's needed as their history is connected with Choi's past, CCW's power & everything down the line that comes after, idk why do you think they shd scrap it when it's their main plot/story. Remove it & you'll lost CCW power to see ghost & core existence of this drama. You may not like it but it's necessary & essential to the plot just like many love their past connection too. Ep 13-14 were given to the squad backstory, 15-16 will be their farewell & closing arc. The pacing is great, one thing that I find this drama really nails at, they give a proper screentime needed while balancing it with other elements, not too long & not rushing it like many other drama often did.
I like it but honestly I don't know which one is more distracting: #1. ML's pouty lips (which's his expression most of the time, acting wise it's a bit of downer for me), or #2. The crazy mounting stare at each other scenes between MC (which making me think the production team purposefully creating artificial intense chemistry between the MC w/ those unnecessary long stare).
And this is even coming from a person who usually always love to see "MC sharing gaze moment", but here, heck they hella too long & too much and I find it very distracting that I keep laughing to see them like that instead of getting myself immerse in their moments 😂
One of the best Chinese romcom for me, comparable to Love is Sweet. I adore the FL personality so much, she's a charming mature lady. There's a lot I need to learn from her.
This is probably the only 2022 drama for me (so far) that I find manage to be exceptionally enjoyable throughout their entire run & I have 0 complaints even from all of the ep that hv been released (14 out of 16), quite an achievement I'd say 👏

Me too, FNOS is my fav esp among 2022 released & it's my current obsession (not ready to part w/ them yet :'( ). But yes this drama is worth to try (one of the strongest pilot among May/June released), so you might wanna check their 1st ep to know if it's for you or not ^^

I don't think it's poor writing since how the vessel's work has been clearly introduced beforehand by the general. It's even brilliant as the stakes are even higher rather than putting it on any random person. I believe CCW & SH will be even more cautious on SML wellbeing so it's even harder for them to exorcist the evil spirit while keeping SML safe. As for love triangle, I don't think it's even worth to call as love triangle to begin with, he's her idol, teenage crush, brother figure but no more than that.
