Yumo is good but he's more like FL good friends & so far FL never lead him on (& even mother-zone him 🤣). I don't like ashes of love due to the heavy love triangle (rooting for SML there) in which I really dislike some of the choice ML has made hence I can't root for the Main Couple (MC). But here on IS, I'm all about the MC all the way & can see where are they coming from and can't wait to see them together, so I'd say it's different from AOL & so far no love triangle (FL straight w/ her feelings to the ML 100%) & even if there'll be one, I believe it will be no where near AOL, so please do give it a chance.
The twist regarding Teacher Lee is expected, I see it coming miles away but what surprise me more is the fact his biological age was said to be 30 almost 40 🤡, he looks way older than that to me, like way way older 😂

My guess it's because Mu Deok want to take the blue jade from CP (she realize it's precious item for her & out of respect to Uk's feeling), and she might also think that it's better to stay away from Uk esp at this critical moment when it's unclear whether she might perish or absorb Uk's energy any moment if he's close to her.

Powerful acting from both leads, great chemistry, good angst, refreshing take etc, you shd try to watch & decide it for yourself though.
Higher rated drama isn't always better than those below them, it could be the otherway around. Some of those w/ highest rated I also find it way overrated, cliche, mediocre etc you name it.
So it's up to personal taste & better try it yourself before deeming it as mediocre/ exceptional from the rating alone 🙃
After the latest development, I think there's no way Mudeok body can be kept alive unless the ice stone isn't being destroyed & it's unlikely since imo destroying the icestone shd be the purpose of the drama otherwise there'll always be soul shifters taking advantage of its power. So I took guesses that it could be their last arc at S1 hence JSM might not be fully present at S2 (but as a supporting for flashback maybe).
So we might hv 2 FL lost their bodies to live, although with Naksu there could be a twist in store how her body is still being preserved elsewhere though not sure if a dead body can be kept alive without any icestone store in hers.
I love this drama but not for the romance, rather for the plot & all characters interaction, friendship & dynamics, so I hope they keep it all being interesting.
