Ahaha I feel you, me too π If you don't mind w/ ilegal sites, before viu caught up w/ the recent ep I watch it on kisskh.me since Youku change IS schedule for their YT premium membership that I join. From my experience the site doesn't give me pop up ads like kissasian (who I can't stand w/ their intrusive ads) & dcool (occasional pop ups) so maybe it could be an option if you're tempted enough π€£, though ik it'd be better if Youku can support casting/ viewing on TV on their app/ website so we could gladly join & subscribe to them π
Oh, to my knowledge, drama for region who hasn't been covered by Viu will be covered by Viki, Viki has IS as well, though am not sure if they're all caught up w/ the most recent ep, you may check them out if you hv it on your region :)
Me before watching the drama: - omg 2parts 40ep each, that's 80! it's too long, I can't even complete 16/ 20 ep of kdrama these days - oh they change the ep number to be 57, it's better this way but it's still alot number of ep

Mdl rating isn't that reliable for me, idk how their alghorithm works but for Immortal Samsara rating if you hover over their 8.2 rating & click it, it actually says 8.78 rating in currently watching (though 7.82 for verified user) however other drama, for instance Heart of Genius has 8.5 rating while they hv 7.98 rating in currently watching & 7.55 verified user. So I never take mdl rating into consideration that much & prefer looking at the feedbacks of the drama itself & try to watch it myself π

I love HR packages deal, lots of good actors there & it's like a mini game within the drama to guess who is who/their previous roles given they change their whole appearance so I get a sense of accomplishment everytime I took notice/ guess each one of them right π€£

Never read the novel but ppl who read said they change alot of things from the novel as very well the ML to be YY in this drama, so it's rather unnecessary to compare since the drama might already deviates alot from the novel

Ahaha yes, I feel you. There's a reason why CY called a tortured prince, he's really amazing in it & I literally watch his drama to see him suffers π however his historical ones like the promise of chang'an is clearly on another level, I did a sneakpeek on some ep & man, it's a literal heartbleeds π€£. Dream of Chang An is still bearable though. And oh you can also read South Winds novel if you hv the time, it's really good, quite angsty but it's a beautiful angst, hopefully we can get to see the drama soon :))
