Well, I was on Na Ji Na's shoes before, my ex broke up with me through text then went ghosting me, so I feel relate to her. I can't buy any of LHK excuse, he can dump his reason & insecurities elsewhere. He's guilty for making NJN can't move on from him for years & suffered through the years because he didn't give any closure to her. It's easier to move on from past break up if there's a closure, talk it through, know the reason, accept what it is & learn from it. NJN have none of that, so everything for her were left as a big question mark. NJN deserves a better treatment & a better partner esp if she is a person whom he "love" so much, although I doubt if he ever love her if he can't even show her his respect & consideration to her feelings. LHK have missed his chance long way back.
Also, whether or not she'll choose Joo ik as her partner, I won't support her getting back together again with LHK, who can assure her that he won't do the samething again later everytime his insecurities reappears.
Dying waiting for ep 12 sub here, I've been refreshing the page like crazy, even watching it raw had me sobbing like for real it hurts so good if you know what I mean! TT
Finally on ep 7 the 2nd main leads got more screentime as they DESERVED (else I'd hv thought they're billed as supporting characters instead of mains), when their story are way more interesting than the 1st main X'D
I don't particularly care if you like it or you don't but please don't assume to know whether detractors understand…
IKR?!! Preach! ♡ Me (& also others) even went on details explaining what bother us/ flaws from this drama, it clearly has nothing to do with me or us not understanding it.
I have no problem understanding a much more complex drama than this with webtangled plot or layered symbolism/ underlying message in other dramas & in fact that kind of drama is my cup of tea so clearly that's not it, lol.
People are free to like or not to like a drama & also surely free to choose to ignore their flaw or not, or to even think they're perfect as it is, but c'mon don't belittle other people just to defend a drama like that, it's too funny or just simply ignorant xP
Watching this show is really a delight, I'm having so much fun watching this, giggling, laughing at GYC childish tantrums, adoring how beautiful the bromance & great FL character, and the recent ones squealing over the unexpected ********* , the lines are really good & touching! Also, future drama writers shd take note & learn how to write a great SML character & relation to the FML from this drama! Seriously!
I don't see any people here comparing them w/ Goblin or YOM tho? As for me, what bothered me the most with them…
But the thing about the FL you said is why I find she's written as 2 dimensional character, she's doing what she's doing just because she's writtenly like that, kind, no matter where any people in her shoes won't do what she's doing, if she ever care for her brother she wouldn't do that for some mere strangers she barely knew esp when she knew he's immortal. The scene will be taken better if she only save him ie. push/pull him aside, but no, they hv to take it like that since they need to show those dramatic moment where MM grab the knives.
As for her throwing herself, it's weird how she's so trusting over MM, how can she be sure she's not easily be replace by another human who are more desperate than her, or if MM didn't lie to her, MM can easily left her fell from the building & she'll then instantly left her only brother as an orphan.
All the things above will be easier to digest if they took their time to build their relationship & trust one and another so it doesn't feel too sudden & forced, which unfortunately missing from them.
Yes! I was surprised too, esp given the MC is quite well known & this was a remake of UK Series. It's a pity there's no buzz & major platform sleeping on them thus longer sub for int'l viewers too. In result, I feel like I'm the only one who's watching them, lol
I don't know maybe it's just how I am but I am not finding the script boring. The story is an onion, and with…
I don't see any people here comparing them w/ Goblin or YOM tho? As for me, what bothered me the most with them is the overdramatic & forced romance they throw for the MC & how main character's action often lacks logic, for instance FL throw herself from the top of building & take knive for an immortal character when they barely knew eachother. All the constant I want to love you & then sudden kiss, most dialogues hv no continuity. Feels like they're trying too much throwing some grandiose moment, copy pasted some dramatic lines without properly building their relationship to make it believable, so the scene feel flat & out of nowhere, at least for me.
LHK never went abroad, he lied to her to broke up with her just like he pretend to others being a wealthy fine…
Ohh I don't think he likes her tho, at least not yet, pity maybe. Given by his condition, I think after witnessing how NJN life hasn't move forward ever since LHK dumped him, his own conscience doesn't allow him to just sit there doing nothing when he can help her to be a better writer as he sees her potential, that if NJN allow herself to actually put some effort & make some change needed as CJI hv suggest, so it's like he was stucked in the situation he wouldn't want to enter to begin with, but can't neglect his own conscience either. Going forward, he may develop more feelings towards her, but as for now, I think it's just like he said, from hate, awareness, pity, who knows what it might becomes later. He doesn't seem to be a guy who denied his own feelings, more of a blunt & straight forward person instead.
there's little to no substance to the dialogues/ story. it seems like there isn't enough plot to justify 16 eps…
They do feel like two different drama with no correlation one and another. The one with the less screentime I find interesting (I rarely encounter author-editor romance/dynamics & ML personality like Joo Ik's in other kdrama), while the one with the most screentime unfortunately feel bland with a pretty basic fantasy setup while trying too much to be overly dramatic when there's not enough built up to make it believable. The main's interaction offscreen in their interview & bts scenes even I find more adorable, natural & interesting than them in the drama itself with those bizzare dialogues they had.
As much as I love SIG & PBY, their script for me are so lacklustre, the mains have 95%-90% screentime yet they fail to grab my attention & make me root for them. Their dialogues are too staged & artificial so it felt too pretentious by having heavy dialogues with zero sense & overdramatic scenes when the leads are merely acquaintances.
However, I give them the props for writing an interesting & fresh SLs character & story, far better than the mains even with that very minimal, limited screentime/ appearances.
I like the fact that they make this as light as any romcom in their early ep should be, I think I like this one more than DAYS, at least they do not pretend to be something they are not by having heavy dialogues with zero sense & overdramatic scenes when the leads are merely acquaintances (love the SLs character & story there though, far better than the mains).
This one is a light & funny drama to watch as it shd be. Hopefully they won't go downhill & bring unnecessary thrope like the childhood thrope WWWSK has. Or, done it properly with a better built up if they're planning to do it.
So far (7ep in) S2 has been dissappointing for me, way more underwhelming with a lot of awkwardness & blank stares between the hosts & guests, unlike S1 where they did great with lively episodes while closeness & warm were shown between hosts & guests. Hopefully we can get a better ep when YJG came to visit them as guest.
Btw, some of the better ep are the ones with Oh Na Ra & Kim Yoo Jung as guests
