The real deal happens after Xiao Wei's arc that ends at ep 6, so I'd say, try at least 7 ep coz it's been a mindblowing drama after that for me, the plot is thick with convulated plot, complex characters & couple story that make me feel invested sm with their insane chemistry. 2 ep is def not enough to get the gist/ to know this drama at all, it takes time for their world building to settle/for viewers to know what this drama about.

This drama is mindblowing esp eversince ep 7, you're missing out if you drop/ judge them only by their earlier ep

Each of the characters has their own death flags in them, the most prominent one was Ji Ling for me, but then I just realize JJY OST title is "Dewdrops dissipate before dawn" & Lu as in Lu Wu Yi means dew, not to mention her moon never ending curse is also dew 🥲

Lol sorry I think I mixed up their name, I forgot his name as there are too many characters & isn't listed on mdl either, but what I meant with YWX is the body LJ posseses in illusion realm rn. The other twin (he shdn't be a twin, but brothers) is YWH & I think it's the original LJ. But he took his brother's body coz the stone want him to understand from other's pov which isn't his. The current body he took possessed rn I think is actually Ji Ling's, cause he hold his doll & also was once blind just like JL

For LJ coz both Baize & WZQ know who YWX currently is (Ji Ling's past, their current dragon lord) so my guess LJ is YWH coz he can't be YWX
LWY & LS is the most confusing part, my guess they might be seeing Jiu Ying's pov (to understand his reason)

Seems so coz he can't be YWX (based on what Baize's told us) then he's the other person which's YWH, except that we see YWX with LJ face so we think that they're twins, when I think they're brothers w/ different face: our Ji Ling (clue: toy plushie and being previously blind) & YWH (LJ)

Both LWY, WWY had 🌕moon while LS/JL 🌙 the ep before, the sisters seems to be called back for the full moon ritual, my guess WWY can't break free from the sect & might get tortured hence LWY cried 😭

WSG: he take his own's father pov
WWY: she take WSG mother's pov, the victim's pov
LWY/LS: this one is the most confusing, I think they take Jiu Ying's pov, maybe she need to understand JY if they want to beat him later (as she'll become his vessel)

Man the hold this drama had for me:
#1 fluttering romance/love story w/ insane chemistry, so good that I feel too invested, obsessed & can't function properly coz Ji Lu is in my mind 24/7 (can't even concentrate to watch other drama)
#2 intriguing, engaging plot, so many theories to make, it's racking my brain with all the mysteries, can't wait for the reveal
#3 breathtaking cinematography, costume, people!
#4 excellent CGI, makes other drama feel cartoonish
#5 great acting & character's writing, all that micro expression (a shout out for JJY breakthrough acting here, a great leap from her past work), great characters writing with so many layers to peel,
#6 beautiful heartwrenching angst, be it their past, present or future each character hold their own misery I can't wait for them to finally break me 🥹
#7 Well fitting bgm, instantly pumping your adrenaline when they're fighting & tears inducing during sad moments
#8 Last but not least, heartwarming sismance, really loving the bond they have here, I hope they survive till the end

It's a really good, amazing drama, just make sure you give 'em a try at least 7ep coz the real deal happens after that & they need more time to settle their world building (given it's fantasy) but it's all gonna be totally WORTH IT!
