Yes GIW being his imagination was my first thought too, but I brushed the idea off as that scene alone won't make sense at all if GIW was only his imagination since GJC wasn't even presented in that scene as the person who imagine it.

It'll only make sense if GIW was his alter ego instead, so GJC was presented in that scene as GIW himself.

My first thought was "the dad" was only his imagination/ delusional mind, but I brushed it off as there's a scene where "the dad" took GJC in his car then after GJC left, the dad told Hye Mi to take care of his son.
So I think there's no way the dad was only his imagination since that scene alone will never happened if it was true because GJC wasn't even there as the person who imagine the scene.

After rewatching, I think that those scene will only make sense if the dad wasn't only his delusional mind but his alter ego instead, thus GJC was present there in that scene as "the dad"/alter ego himself
