I have some theory, you may seen it on my post above in spoiler

So I think Gong In Woo (GJC's father) was never existed. It's just GJC's portrayal of the beast's face inside of him.
My take was, when little GJC was abused by his mom, he sort of create an alter ego/ other personality (beast) who loves to kill. While the original GJC remain as an innocent lil' kid & this was the GJC we're seeing in the drama.

When GJC was prosecuted for the 11th victim case, we were shown that GJC got a seizure whenever he suffered an extreme situation and his lawyer plead that he won't remember what happened after that, thus later he was sent to mental hospital because he can't be punished for something that he can't remember.

So, from original GJC perspective the 11th victim is his first victim (because the other 10 victim were done by his alter ego & he was "unconscious").
The beast (with GIW face) keep persuading him to kill, but GJC refused by saying he's different as unlike him, he can feel love.

That day, when he accidentally killed HB, his alter ego did the following multiple stabbing to HB.
Right after that, HE cursed him & GJC shot himself in the head.

BUT, I think he never actually shot himself, but it's morelikely just a methapore in his mind that he had killed/thrown his original ver and have been taking over completely by his alter ego (the beast).

That's why he survived the shot & sentenced in jail.

This theory is consistent with what HB had said in the interview room, according to him GIW has been pronounced dead 15th years ago, never married & doesn't have a son.
Also, when GJC visit his father at that abandoned school, we see him stabbing his dad & his dad's painting, but later we see his dad was fine & the painting still in a good condition when HB found it.

So, continuing the snow scene at HB&HE wedding day, I think it's possible that GJC, who was already taken over completely by his alterego, was the one who smashed HB skull & performed some ritual so that he can be reborned as HB.
(I think he hide & burried HB's body elsewhere, so HE was looking for him later in snow just like what being shown on SH's dream)

But luckily, earlier at church HE had tied her fate with HB & later she cursed GJC back too, so I think GJC wish to be HB was ungranted as it has been countered by HE

I came back after rewatching the first two ep, and OMG!! I got chills from thinking the possibilities of this new theory regarding GJC that I found after rewatching it!!

When I watch this FMV, I feel like needed to rewatch all of the ep since the beginning all over again.
Because at first, when I watch this drama, idk who shd I be rooting for, thought JKY was the ML (he still probably does), but I start this drama for him tbh & I was kinda caught offguard when they presented HB&HE love story.
As the story progressed, I fell in love & was rooting for HB&HE completely.
But now I think I shd hv rewatching all the ep since the beginning, to appreciate every little & precious moment they had.
As very well to catch every lil hints/clue that I might hv missed, because now I feel like doubting something.
I had so many theories from this drama, it's sure confusing but they're intriguing, idk why their rating aren't higher. This is my fav airing drama rn.

I feel like the things that we're seeing, is a sort of from GJC pov, what he believe in his mind, sort of like a drama called The Light in your eyes.

But some ppl said too that a few fragmented that we're seeing was a part of Hye Mi's novel, which can't be trusted either.

My head is spinning, lol, we're at halfway & am still lost, this drama is so unpredictable X'D

I'd also added another thing,
HB have been patiently waiting the answer to his proposal for 4 whole years, for her to marry him, just for her to say Yes. And incase ppl still don't realize, the reason why she hesitated to marry him isn't because she didn't love him, on the contrary it's because she loves him too much that she doesn't want to trapped him in marriage with her sick body, worried if it'd be too painful for him if she leaves.
They're clearly love eachother deeply.

And after she had the courage to say yes & was expecting the happiest moment of their life time, her loved ones was killed by this guy whom she gave him her emphaty to begin with.
Her love one dies while she survived alone at that horrific day. I bet it was painful for her to continue living until the day she passed away.

The reason why I'm saying this is because even when HB&HE love was this pure & HB had tried his best to protect HE safety more than his job, more than his life, from her stalker for years, from the guy who doesn't seem to be healthy in mind but potential suspect of murderer, & even when he already try to give this guy a second chance to live a proper life & start a new (giving him bible & such, only begs him to give HE a pass) which this guy turned down without batting an eye only later provoked him by saying he will pursue his GF no matter what until the end of the world no matter if he dies.

HB still being blamed & told that he was being overly protective & toxicly possesive.

It makes me speechless, sad & wondering if ppl were really watching the same drama like I do ;__;

My take is based on what I've watched until ep 8 of 16 (16/32)
1. I think it's pretty much confirmed that there's no body switched
2. Their main theme to me is past lovers reunion & to show that psycopathic traits can be borned by genetics but it depends on how determined the person is willing to fight against it. Also I think, the FL here will took some lesson from her reckless behaviour.
3. Yes SH doesn't hesitate to fabricate evidence if it was needed to lock multiple serial killers, rapist etc whom he addressed as beast (repetitive criminals) in jail so they won't be released due to lack of evidence, he sort of had a bad experience before. But I think he'd have to suffer from all of the consequences later.
4. As for JB/GJC tbh I'm still not sure which route they'll take this into, whether he's guilty or trapped, his redemption path, second chance, bright ending or not, everything is blurred even until now, I think they still want us to wonder.
5.Along with these there're plenty shady characters too so they could go with any route they want, whether there's a master mind behind all this, so we'll see

I admit that it'll make an awesome & sensible plot twist if that happens, if only I didn't ship her with him (I'm rooting for her to move on & have another happy family) I'd love that too, hahaha

So they said when doctor Ji's parents died in an accident, apparently at that time her father mistress was pregnant. 30 years later, before his mom died she told doctor Kim the whole truth. That's why when they met at the first time at the hotel, he seem to hv recognized her already.

Lol don't twist my words, I never said it was ok for SH to fabricate evidence but the way you're portraying what JB & SH did was equal really disturbing for me.

First, please stay within the drama (US case has no relevancy to SH case).
SH never framed innocent ppl (he refer them as beast, people with multiple killing, multiple rapest case records, etc) & he never had any intention to kill this ppl, what you're defending now is not only a killer here, but serial killer/rapist with repetitive actions (ie. that chubby guy in jail, he did killed those 6 ppl whose corpse later been found, if not more), this kind of ppl could kill way a lot more ppl if they're released outside due to lack evidence as it was revealed really happenned in the drama itself as well & his father has also become one collateral damage from mistrusting these ppl.
How do you feel if you're on SH shoes & your dad was the victim? I believe you'd suffer from trust issues either.
Sure it doesn't make what he did is ok, but at least it's understandable.

On the other hand JB is intentionally straightforward manipulating ppl to kill, moreover you see that he is mentally unstable, he is dangerous as he is uncontrollable & can do more than beyond rational ppl would. The way I see it his other personality seem to hv taking over his sanity/ his saner personality, the puppy like one.

I think you need to stop defending a killer here, it gets even scarier for me to see how ppl can still keep defending, making excuses & siding sides with him even after seeing what he did.

A drama might be made for our pure entertainment, but isn't a drama is a sort of mini portrayal of the world our living as well? which some ppl might took a lesson/reflection from it? & people's opinion is a sort of reflection of what they're thinking?

I feel like it can be really scary/ disturbing if we see how ppl could take things differently on some things that is fundamental.

(And ofc this is not applied for opinions in general, but just for fundamental things like gashina has posted above.)

Ok the way you describes/defends what JB did here is kinda scares me, so is that ok if JB manipulating the guy to harmed SH since he only used his emotion to trigger him & not paying him?
He's intentionally commiting to murder itself & he was aware of it, the way he did is even more scary because of how twisted his mind is regardless he was born that way or developed into, rightnow I don't even think he's aware of himself & might become a loose canon real soon.

How is that even comparable to fabricating evidence (which I know what SH did was wrong) but to compare them both & make them as equal? Seriously, I have no words & I can't digest it at all.
