So I guess we'll finally get to see Chan Sung's backstory, I'm very curious to see it & glad that he has his own backstory to gave his character more depth. Wait, does that means this will be an ep where Nam Da Reum make a cameo appearance?
What Chungmyung did to Manwol is such a bad case of noble idiocy. He was well aware how much Yeonwoo mattered…
Ikr?! there's no excuse for him to do such thing, he betrayed her, period. Don't tell me he loves her but situation let him there and he was forced to do so blablabla, that's bullshit, he shd have known Man Weol better how much important Yeon Weo is for her.
I'm actually in disbelief if ppl still root for him/try to find him an excuse after what he has done, if he does love her, he will fight the princess along with her, but I think he doesn't love her enough to do that, unless he's that dumb enough to think Man Weol would prefer living over the life of his precious people. But then again, just like you, I was never in that ship so maybe that's why I can't feel related.
I think the scene in ep 9 preview purposely was distorted not in order to confuse us viewers & to think there'll be a break up/separation.
My theory is, in the next ep Chan Sung will get to find Hotel Del Luna again with the help from Mago & he'll use room 404 as his trump card for Man Weol to take him in again. Like, if you don't need me, then just like all of the other humans who insist to enter the hotel without her invitation, I'll enter/stay at that 404 room, just take me or leave me. Eventually Man Weol will take him & make him promised won't go near there again, thus what we heard from Chan Sung in the preview, "I won't go there again".
That sort medicine Mago gives to Chan Sung will only be used as a bait/excuse for him to give Man Weol a farewell/ his resignation before he won't ever get to see her again, but obviously he won't budge to leave the hotel after he find her again. I believe in Chan Sung's love & trust he had in Man Weol <3
True, they had a totally different characters so it wouldn't make sense if they pull such card and I wouldn't…
Yes, I hate it the most when Kdrama force the romance between the OTP & rushed them out. But here, the romance is not explicit & stay as background and they built their relationship as a dependable person to eachother first, they actually talk, share their thoughts, burden & they give eachother a better influence. How lovely & refreshing is that? So am Chan Sung team all the way. He understood Man Wool very well & his action speak louder than his words, he may not say he loves her yet, but she's indeed a special person to him whom he cares, vice versa
from the flashbacks, Chung Myung and past Mira get married, but Chung Myung is hanged while manweol cries and…
No, from the flashback, Chun Myung betrayed them & marrying the princess (the past Mira) which led to Yeon Wo died by getting hanged. So Man Weol took a revenge & killed Mi Ra in her wedding gown, then she took her bridal gown as a disguise to kill Chun Myung later.
I think all of those sweet things Chun Myung did and said were done with a purpose in mind, to find her weakness & sold them off. Yeon Woo's life then came as a cost of her weakness, that's why she said Yeon Weo is that one person who loved her the most.
The reason why I'm saying this is because from the flashback, Chun Myung doesn't appear to be sad/hesitant or struggling to me. When he smiles to the princess, to me he is smiling in the eyes too. But then again, the flashback is really short so I might be wrong xD
True, they had a totally different characters so it wouldn't make sense if they pull such card and I wouldn't…
Oh I feel the opposite, I'm very much invested on Chan Sung's character & I love how his character is written as well as the development between him & Man Weol. As for Chun Myung, tbh I don't really care for his character & I don't even consider him as a 2nd lead to be worth rooting for, lol maybe because we had a different taste. But I agree with you on the reincarnation matter, if they pull such card, he shd have had the same face just like the others are having rn too.
If they pull "reincarnation" bullshit for Chan Sung's character, I will be pissed and my rating for the drama…
True, they had a totally different characters so it wouldn't make sense if they pull such card and I wouldn't want CS to be another man than himself, I love him for the way he is rightnow <3
I really like Chan Sung character too, esp in kdrama land, it's so refreshing to get such a male lead character…
To each of their own then.. I don't find Chun Myung's character (if it's the captain's name) compelling. I personally think he isn't as sincere as Yeon Woo & am still unsure whether he is trustworthy/ whether he had ulterior motive in getting close to Man Weol, thus I can only say he's cute but not more than that, esp not at the point of ready to ship him with MW, lol sorry, Chan Sung ftw xp.
I don't feel Chun Myung & Man Weol's chemistry either, esp not more than Chan Sung & Man Weol's. Chan Sung & Man Weol had the better chemistry to me & the better pairing given how open they're with eachother, while Chan Myung & Man Weol's felt more artificial, just because of their environment/set up. But then again I rarely fell for SLS either :P
I don't get why people feel a strong SLS in this one, maybe because I don't really like that Captain's character, he's cute yes but that's all, I don't feel his sincerity (I liked Yeon Woo's character more than him) & I don't feel the chemistry between the captain & Man Wol that ppl were talking about either, the flashback part to me felt more just like a set up.
I loved this drama for the present YJG & IU's time & don't really care that much for the past/ flashback plot. I love IU & YJG character & their bantering as Man Wol & Chan Sung. They're completing eachother really well & I find it's refreshing to see them always being honest with their feelings at eachother.
One thing that I wouldn't want to see in this drama is Chan Sung being his (y'know who) reincarnation. I don't want him to be his shadow, he is much stronger & appealing the way he is rn. As a gentle caring person but not a pushover, a sincere & an honest man who know what he wants.
I liked this drama more than I think I would which come as a surprise to me, I'm glad to see that the relationship between Man Wol & Chan Sung were developed/growth naturally, they're bonding as themselves, instead of some sudden miracle intervention childhood/past connection (which I'm very much sick off seeing it in almost every kdramas rn).
The best romcom from 2019 for me. It's hilarious & had one of the best ML character & love triangle I've seen so far.
Last but not least: Beautiful drama with beautiful messages. Seo Yi Do's conversation with his mom in the last ep filled with so many quotable lines. This drama somehow also reminds me of Encounter(2018 with SHK & PBG), only this one is more like a lighthearted/hilarious/fantasy ver of it, but the poem, meaningful references are there.
Am gonna miss Seo Yi Do, Min Ye Rin & Min Jae Hee so much. This drama hv also made me discovered Go Won Hee & Shin Sung Rok's great acting talent, will surely look forward to their next project <3
I found the first 6 episodes to be boring. Does that mean this drama is not for me? Since I've seen many people…
Well it does goes down hill to rockbottom after those awesome 6 ep. The plot turns non existence, story goes on circle with force romance & writer-nim has no logic left when writing the rest of the episodes.
So the most important question is, do you like the romance between the OTP so much to the point whether they're making sense or not is no longer important? Unless your answer is yes then I don't think it'd be worth it to continue watching.
Is it bad I ship him with both the same lol that's how good of an actor/actresses they are........
Meee... I love Jae hee, but I love Yerin just as much & worry that I won't be seeing her anymore after her perfume runs out, gahhh I can feel the dilemma Seo Yi Do's having rn, I'm torn x_X
So it is not a Happy ending as everyone said then.. :((
Oh, it's a happy ending for sure, but it's a nonsense happy ending one with glaring plot holes, so some (including me) prefer them to stick with the unhappy one, either it's a bittersweet, sad ending or whatever, as long as it does make sense, unlike those nonsense happy ending path they're choosing right now.
Curious how all the people saying "just another fat shaming drama" and dropping it after 2 eps think now, when…
Ikr, it's such an early judgement when it's only their first week. This drama is so good, my fav this year & imo they handled her issue really well & obviously not another fat shaming show that ppl'd think of. I can't believe it's already near their final week. What an amazing & enjoyful ride it has been. Am not ready to say good bye just yet, my Monday would never be the same again.

I need ep 8 right now!!!
