I'm glad to see that i also like the secondary couples. They're not just distraction and they're also very likable beside the friend that has a crush on her friend's ex. I kind of feel bad for jixing's partner who is clearly head over hill for liĺi, too bad she's already taken.

To combat the low rating just rate all the eps you watched, as this drama is plague with haters who purpose is to bring down the rating; if you check in the ep guide they even rate those eps that have not air.

I find the mother entertaining, so didn't have a problem with her character. I like how honest she's and not two face like that mother and sister of the fl's ex. I can tolerate her better than them.

Those people who complained about the mother came into this drama with the wrong expectation, as this drama is about family and the mother and daughter conflicts, and not focus only on the main leads romance. I'm surprised this drama got such a low rating on mdl, even lower than only for love as that drama was criticized for being bad while this drama broke 30,000 heat on the first week of airing.

They're separate stories so you don't have to watch them in order. Sword and fairy 1 is a remake of the first chinese paladin, all three are base off a game.
Jixing was such a cute drunk holding onto hanting and wouldn't let him go and then dancing and singing with his uncle. Hanting is so patience with jixing, it's clear he still has a crush on her ^^

I feel for jixing, but i kind of feel she and her boyfriend don't match. It's understandable for the breakup to happens as the boyfriend was showing sign of discontent ever since she left him at the movie theater. I think that was the breaking point for him as it was their 4th anniversary, and then later she refused him when he proposed to her as she was busy with her start up business, so she wants to delay their wedding. This fit the phrase right person, wrong time.

it doesn't feel like slow burn to me but i can see how it would feel that way to some when she's trying to settle…
I feel xukai has very good screentime compare to his other dramas, he's the focus of this drama rather than being on the sideline. I'm sure now that she broke up with her boyfriend, the main leads will have more screentimes together, i really like ep 9 and 10 ^^
K-Drama 
Hanting got it bad for jixing, he even willing to cook for her compare to that boss lady whom has to get his attention by bringing food for him.
