I thought drama plot is very good since it came from a game, and so many interesting characters to explore and their power are very cool. Xukai and ester are doing justice to their roles. What don't they like about the plot, as I don't know the game i'm very intrigue in the game plot and drama getting more interesting as you keep watching with many mysteries. Those who like the game would know how good the game is, I wonder how many are watching because they play the game.

Douban are full of haters so not a good reflection of how good a drama is.

Court lady came from a novel and it was released at the same time as the drama. You're right about the drama is a court politic drama, and the main leads were rarely show together since fl is working in the palace. What i like though is the character development of the ml because at first he changed because of the fl, but later on his change is because of his family and country and xukai character in this one is very entertaining for me he went from being a wastrel to someone very capable that what got my interest in his character rather than the main leads romance. For story of yanxi palace I did get sml syndrome since he knew the fl first, and she made her feeling for him very clearly. Later on there were two camps one support the ml and one support the sml for the fl, I think this drama did a very good job at writing their characters because both sides have their own reasons for believing the fl is in love with ml or sml. It's a good drama that did a good job as showing harem lives and fl is a strong woman and a good role model for young girls to follow ^^

They will be in as beautiful as you also. I hope he will not get in between the main leads relationship like in this one lol.

Yeah I watched many dramas of xukai and we all have a favorite pairing, but I'm also enjoying his chemistry with ester, it gives a different flavor compare to his other pairings. I would never say I want another actress to play ester role. That's so disrespectful to the hard work they put in to their role.

It's fine if you think ester and Dylan Wang has a good chemistry, but I'm not sure why you would bring him into this drama discussion when he's not casted for this drama. You should ask the director why is xk is casted for this drama and not Dylan Wang since I can see you're already bias on your favorite pairing by comparing xukai and ester interaction with ester and Dylan Wang interaction. For this drama yes they're acting because they're actors, while in BTS of Dylan Wang and ester they're not so what you're saying here is you're liking their chemistry outside of drama. This drama they're playing two characters who might not be the same as them in real life that's why you might think it's force. I'm not sure how Dylan Wang would play these two characters, but this looks to me is just your bias talking. If you want to compare, compare the BTS of xukai and ester when they're not acting out the characters, I think their chemistry is very good also in BTS compare to drama.

One thing I noticed, usually when a person is sick, they will be pale and their lip also pale, it kind of catches my attention because ester still has lipstick on even though she was poisoned. Bian luhuan was the one that looks a lot sicker when he was trying to heal her, what happened to him why is he so hurt when using that spell. Why is he forbidden to use that spell? And his character is making me question whether he's a good guy or a bad guy because he belongs to the sect that was known to do many evil things, but at the same time he's so nice to qi and he's suspected to be her master. So is her master a good or a bad guy?

I think it's their family curse that all the luo twin siblings all died young because they all were under the same curse for 200 years, so he's not the only one who experienced it. It's just falls to him and his sister in their generation if you know what I mean.

He reminded me of boxuan because he's so mysterious, and boxuan wasn't shown as much compare to baijue and qingmu whom I knew very well ^^

Those three dramas I rated really high. I love them for the plot and characters, but they can be very emotionally draining. If you're going to watch these three dramas, you have to space them out. Good luck ^^
