Story of joy is fl centric and center on a mother and daughter relationship. However there will be more material written for ml since novel doesn't have much storyline about ml. I hope drama will give him decent screen times. For as beautiful as you xukai and seven tan have equal billing, so I hope the focus will be on the both of them and less on support characters. Chinese paladin season 6 and wonderland of love both are action dramas I'm looking forward to the both of them since xukai are so good in action scenes ^^

I heard it was both his and her fans who don't want them to work together and want them to develop separately. They also had lots of CP fans who wanted them to work together. Yuzheng was the one that announced the new of royal feast, and want to push the CP, but then change the fl later on. I don't think it has to do with fans demand, but because there were lots of negative rumors about them due to xukai's ex, as well as the negative press bailu got after arsenal military academy air due to a BTS that got leaked between bailu and xukai. In any case since they're still new actors it's not good to have so many negative press, that's why yuzheng decided to separate them and pair them with other people. That's what I think happened why they stopped working together. In my opinion I liked the pairing before, but I'm thinking there has been too many toxic CP fans who wanted to push them together as a result insulting xukai's other partners, that's what makes me think it's best they don't work together anymore. I think after what happened between him and bailu, xukai has been avoiding promoting CP, I think he doesn't like to be gossip and being put in the limelight, that's why he has been promoting his dramas by himself, so he's not pair with any actresses.

I like to see him in more variety shows, but it looks like he like filming more. Great escape is the only one show that he has been a regular member.

So you're saying Chinese viewers didn't like it? There was some problems with it but I didn't think it was as bad as you said and xukai got decent screen times compare to many of his past dramas. I assume most of those who complained were those who read novel and didn't like how drama was changed. In my opinion this drama has the most fight scenes among all xukai dramas, and it show case he has put in lots of training for it. In any case even if the drama didn't do as well as hope, the character of dongbo xue ying is still a favorite of mine.

So he didn't post a goodbye post for dongbo xueying. I feel dongbo xueying is very similar to xukai's character, hardworking and strong minded. He doesn't take the easy way out, and working hard to achieve his goal. It's a strong spirited character that I heard xukai said in the past he wanted to play. Even though drama wasn't rated as well due to problems with the script, it's still a worthwhile character for him to play and experienced, and for his fans to see his training paid off in the martial art department ^^

He's recognized for his acting by his fans. I hope he will be known more by passerbys as well. I don't understand the kind of haters that go to dramas that hasn't air yet and badmouthing his acting. I hope he will have more dramas that are rate highly so those haters will not have a chance to badmouthing him.

I used to like her to, but I also don't like how her fans putting down her partners or the other actresses who are not as popular than her. No matter how you feel about the actresses/actors or their acting, I just don't like when you put down someone else to highlight another. Also my opinion she was only able to become known after she was paired with xukai in the legend, xukai on the other hand already gotten some popularity with story of yanxi palace.

I know what you meant about ester yu. For a drama to get popularity, it's usually base on CP feeling between the main leads and how many are watching the dramas. As both xukai and ester yu have huge followers, it will definitely bring in the watchers, and if the drama is good it will make them both more popular. In the past xukai dramas most of his pairing the actresses are less popular than him beside yangmi and chengxiao. However his future dramas will all be with popular actresses, so i'm not worry dramas will not do well if the main leads are talented with good production. What I'm more worry about is the plot, and how censorship can hurt the dramas and whether xukai will get good screen times. Also I would like him to develop into an actor who gets recognition for his acting rather than popularity, since popularity will fade in time.

I'm not saying he has to be like anyone else. I like him the way he's to be himself. I just saw he's participating more when he used to let others solve the puzzle and stayed behind. Since he has been in great escape for a whole season, he is more comfortable with the people there, so he's more relax. I don't think xukai like to appear on TV variety shows since he rarely appeared if it's not to promote his dramas. It's only on great escape that I saw him appear without promoting his dramas. I heard his reason for wanting to be there is to help him become more brave and facing his fear of the dark, etc. I haven't seen that ep, I'm still catching up on the old eps since I was watching on YouTube and there was no subtitle on some of the episodes.

Yes I hope the best for wonderland of love. If the plot is good, the characters are cool and the original author responsible for the screenplay and good production. Now just pray there will not be too many editing in order to fit with the new censorship...

I really like xukai acting in here, so I'm confused when you said he lack acting. This is an internal character and he showed so much love to the fl with just using his eyes. I was totally sold on this character being both innocent at the beginning to being the badass demon lord. Just sad his character was nerf so much in order to highlight the sml. Bailu character was also good however I felt her character became weaker towards the end. Drama was dragged to make it longer, it could've been a much better drama otherwise.

He doesn't relies on bailu. He has his own strength and that's comedy. However he can also do serious, heartbreaking roles. In once upon a time in lingjian mountain, he prove he didn't need an fl to hold audiences attention, he has lots of screen times in that drama, while fl only showed up from time to time. And in china that drama was rated well, it got number 1 in the top ten dramas ranking list while it was airing, so that drama proves xukai as a versatile actor, who can handle both comedy and serious dramas.

I think his pairing of seven tan and yangzi are a step in the right direction since I heard their reputation are good and they are good actresses. I'm looking forward to all his future dramas since all of them are S+ dramas so the production should be good. In term of xukai getting resources from yuzheng, I felt it was through his own efforts that he got those roles because he wasn't treated any special, and I agree with you even though he got main roles in these dramas his screen times were sacrifice for support characters if this how yuzheng is helping xukai, then I don't know how he's being treated so badly even though he is main ml.

In the recent episodes of great escape, I felt he was more relax. I think this has to do with how comfortable he becomes with the people in great escape. They became truly friends so he could relax around them ^^
