It's good I'm liking it watching up to ep 4 ^^

Agree I like her outfits, they look really pretty. I also ml's outfits.

His scenes with his mother when he went to rescue her is so emotional, he risk his life to save her but wasn't strong enough and gotten really injured. The two uncles of xueying are so loyal and caring, both brothers were raised by them when they loss their parents. I'm really liking their family dynamic, how caring they were to the two brothers and taking care of them. Xueying and his brother are so lucky to have them as family. Also really like how caring the brothers are to each other. I'm really liking xukai character in this drama he's so strong and smart and also really talented to go from not having any power to gain power in such a short time. Can't wait to see how his character will develop ^^

That's my favorite parts of the drama watching him doing spear practice. It's looks so fluid I just love it. Everytime he's fighting I'm just blows away by how well he handles that spear. The little xueying and his brother are cute but I'm liking them better as adults since we get to see them being more brotherly to each other. I can see how much they care for each other and both of them thinking for each other, xue ying didn't want his brother to take any risks so he's protecting him by doing things alone, while his younger brother wants to train to become stronger to help his brother.

Watching to ep 2 and I'm liking the story. I'm also used to the vfx and in my opinion it not as bad as some claimed. It's just kind of funny everytime they do a special move there's a name for it and there's an animation of the words on the screen, made me bursts out laughing. Also I'm liking the main leads interaction, they seem to already be on good terms with each other ^^

I'm also an anime watcher and I watched lots of old dramas that don't have any vfx and are even lower quality, so this is watchable ^^

I'm looking forward to watching the rest of the episodes ^^

Cgi wasn't anything like ancient love poetry but this is a whole different genre, it's not so bad as it's unwatchable. The drama has 40 eps so I'm wondering how the story will play out. Was looking forward to see xukai in an action drama and he fulfilled my wish by being in this one ^^

Fighting scenes look good just the vfx is kind of low quality. Not that big of a deal since I'm watching for the plots and characters.

But they take forever to shoot a new season. Was looking forward to once upon a time in lingjian mountain season 2, but it never materializes :(

Was rewatching the first ep and finally noticing how they animate the words on the screen for the different moves like they were somehow special, but they just look ordinary lol. I can understand how some people might feel disappointed about the low budget, however what matters should be the plot and acting, and I'm liking that the fl is the one rescuing the ml and she's stronger than him. He's still a kid when he met her, wonder how old she's since I was told she's an immortal does that mean she's much older than him?

Yeah she was his mother in royal feast too ^^

I think if he accepted doing this drama, the character must be the reason he picked. From the trailer I like dongbo xue ying for his heroic nature and also his persistent and stubbornness when facing danger and refusing to give up. That's the type of character to root for so I want to see how his character develope in the future.

Glad to see it's on YouTube as well as viki. Can't wait to find out more about the world they're living in ^^

So his character not as complex in this drama as compare to novel? I only seen the first ep so I can't say how much his character will change in the future, but isn't it a bit early to say his character is not as complex just saying I'm all for great character development.

That's why if I want to watch a drama I will not read novel in order to enjoy the drama since I know I will be critical of the drama and want it to stay as faithful to novel as possible. I think by not having any expectations you will enjoy the drama as a whole new experience. Dramas don't always follow novels and lead to dissatisfaction of novel fans, I heard the same with fans of bftb when it first came out the novel fans also disappointed with the production.

In term of quality it's too early to say but I'm liking the first ep I seen can't wait for the rest of the eps. Vfx is not the whole reason to watch a drama, what I like is how real the fighting scenes are and xukai get lots of hands on with using his spear. Also seen some of his older dramas with low budget and I think this one is better than the legend, once upon a time in lingjian mountain and dance of the sky empire in term of vfx and fight scenes. In an interview xukai said the director doesn't want to use too much vfx for fighting scenes so he has to train using the spear for months, that's real dedication to his role ^^

First ep introduction I'm liking it. Lots of actions and xukai action scenes was great. And the main leads already meet, this will give them a chance to develop feeling for each other. Hope xue ying will be able to rescue his mother, and avenge his father.

Was wondering the same thing, did they work together before on a movie set or commercial I didn't know about lol.
