If you have watch to ep 14 and not liking the story, then maybe this drama is not for you. Drama is meant to be enjoyable, I only watch to ep 12 and the plot has slow down a lot. I hope it picked up eventually, the demons seem to be beating them while they stayed couped up in the academy. Xueying and jing qiu are off to their own little world ^^ although I like their romance but I hope it will get back to the main storyline.

I guess we disagree, the two leads are what made the dramas enjoyable for me. After xue ying went missing it got a bit boring. I like their romance but I'm watching for the action though, so hoping it will get back to the main storyline.

He trained for ten years so not like he has no power, it's just hidden and it was finally woken up after he has an encounter with the knight chanfeng. How much more training does he has to do that would be consider with effort lol. Also his mother has the ancient blood line so if anything the reason why he couldn't wake up his power for so long is due to it was being suppressed by his mother in the first ep when she gave him her necklace. One of the experts when he first met him was saying he has a hidden power that was suppressed that's why he was able to hold his own even against stronger enemies. Watch some more eps before you starts to run your mouth. Sure it might not be the best storyline out there but I think it's still a watchable drama. There are many crappy dramas that you might like better than this one if this is not to your taste . The production is not the best in term of vfx, but it still has a good storyline and likable characters.

Wow thanks for the novel plot, it would be great to see him train and become transcendent all by himself; although for drama I think if he was training alone there won't be much of a story since the drama must want to attract watchers with the romance between leads as a result the fl became the one who rescue him from black wind cliff. I wouldn't mind watching him train to become stronger, but I think the creator of this drama wants to add romance and that's why they change the whole story. Can you tell me what's the story between main leads in novel if you don't mind, is it very different from drama?

Oh yeah that too. They're a sweet couple, why made him losing the love of his life. Although he looks good with white hair. I think among the characters so far I like the main leads, him, the sfl and bai shu character. I hope nothing will happens to them.

Chanfeng knight and his wife has such a sweet love story, I had a premonition something bad will happens when she started to tell him if something happens to her in the future. She was such a caring wife and a really nice lady, I'm sad for his loss, he truly loves his wife, his hair turn white overnight. Funny how in wuxia or fantasy genre, their hair will turn why if they lose someone they love although his eyebrows still black did they forgot to turn them white lol.

Court lady of xukai and liyi tong is a good historical, royal feast of xukai and wujin yan is also good but it focus a lot on foods presentation compare to court politics. Arsenal military academy of xukai and bailu is another good one, but it's in the republican period.

Yes can't wait for both the leads being badass ^^

I hope not, I'm really hoping for it to release this year being snow eagle lord is the only one drama of xukai that has been released so far this year. He only have wonderland of love and sword and fairy 6, and I'm betting on wonderland of love to be release after snow eagle lord. Sword and fairy 6 will probably release next year the same as beautiful as you the modern drama he shoots with seven tan.

Is that the reason why he gets so little screen time in his past dramas compare to even support characters?

You have a point, I use to like him too. He starts out as a good guy but along the way his jealousy got the best of him. This is due to his need for attention and recognition; I also think a part because of his cousin. Xue ying can't help himself but be outstanding, he has always been hardworking, as a result he got notice by his teachers. However situ hong misunderstood and think xue ying got special attention when the teacher was helping him to stabilize his power when his power gotten out of control. I think the teacher would've done the same thing for other students if they got in trouble while training, so this is his own jealousy that turn other students against him when he injured xue ying when they were sparring. I do agree the sfl could've share the soup she made, but I think her reason for refusing has to do with her dislike for his cousin. For fl refusing to spar with him, she could not focus when xue ying is still missing not knowing whether he's dead or alive, so I would understand why she refused him since her partner has always been xue ying.

Yeah he started to show his jealousy and envy of xue ying, thinking xue ying getting special treatment. This is due to him wanting the attention to be on him instead. This is also because the girl he likes has feeling for xue ying instead of him. I almost felt bad for him in the past seeing him being mistreated as a kid, that could be the reason why he wants to be acknowledge so badly by everyone, to be recognize as the best student, but he couldn't get it because xue ying is so outstanding that he took all the attention away from him.

Don't like don't watch. What's your problem complaining here, go find something else to watch instead. If it's boring for you why are you still watching? Also fl does a good job with her character, I'm watching to ep 10 and think she emotes well.

An adaptation can have it's own storyline and can still be successful in its own right. Since this one has an anime and a novel, it now has a drama. I think it also has a movie adaptation. Did anyone watch the movie version, was it faithful to the source material?

How is the novel compare to drama? I like once upon a time in lingjian mountain even though it also has many changes to novel since I only read novel after completing the drama. I will be happy if it retain the characteristics of most of the characters from novel.

So xue ying's mother has the ancient blood line, but her brother doesn't. So ancient blood line can only be inherited by one family member?:Does that means xueying inherit the ancient blood line through his mother. My understanding is ancient blood line will give the user huge internal energy, is that why xueying has such trouble controlling his power. It was only because his mother was injured that why his uncle was able to beat her and taken her prisoner in the past, she could blow up that device they used to make weapons showing she's quite a formidable opponent.

Can u put it under spoiler, so he will turn into demon later on?
