I think it all comes down to whether you like the cp, since I like them in story of yanxi palace, I also like them here. This is a totally different story that focuses on the food rather than the concubines of the king like yanxi place. Also she didn't gives up and becomes his concubine, she decides she wants the position of the empress since that's the position of power that should've been her, also she wants to change the outcome of the concubines once the king died, and in history her son did abolished that rule. In term of xukai character, I guess I'm used to watch historical dramas with royalty that I thought he is not as bad as those I watched in the past, he would've set her free if it wasn't for his father command that they married.

Feels longer, I think it was due to getting our hope for this drama to air earlier this year, that why we fans are so impatient now. I'm usually much more patience. Also what with the cancel culture in china, any dramas risk of getting cancel permanently if one of the actors/actresses have some kind of scandal that could pop up anytime with no warning.

I think it was easy to understand. The only complaint I have is towards the ending since it looks to be the censorship cuts out some of those characters that should've been included in the show towards the end. This is what I noticed in some cdramas, their endings are a mess most of the time, that was open to interpretation whether it was a he or a se, in my opinion the ml died and what we were showed at the end was his dream of what he wants to happen in the future.

He's handsome, but I also like his character personality, not only is he smart, but also mature in relationships, my kind of guy ^^

Did I said they're wrong, they have their own opinion, but it doesn't mean I can't express my opinion about this show because I like the show. Also what makes your opinion valid and mine is not. When you're going to criticize someone else's taste then you should be prepare for those who love the show to defend it lol.

I think the maker of this wants to hype the drama by making the fans wait for it. This must be a marketing strategy, and it's the same for those dramas that have lots of fans waiting, otherwise why do they keep putting it out there and frustrating fans over the release date. Just hope it won't backfire on them.

I didn't realize it was postponed since there was not an air date for this drama. Let pray this drama will not be affected by the scandal since it was just a rumor about gulnezer, and I heard the third person was someone else.

What scandal are you talking about, are we talking about the actor xukai Cheng and his ex-girlfriend, and gulnezer the fl of this drama, her name somehow got dragged into it as the third person, but I heard she denied it so I don't think that scandal will affect her or this drama . At least I hope it will not be. Xukai and Xukai Cheng are two different actors.

When is this drama going to air. This is another drama that I'm expecting to be airing beside she and her perfect husband, hope to hear some announcement soon.

There will always be an audience for it. It's not a waste of time if you like the topic. I was disappointed in the ending because of the censorship, otherwise this drama is really interesting because of the different characters.

It can be boring since it has lots of dialogues, but for some reasons I can't help but be interested in it. Plus all characters are interesting, especially xukai's character ^^
