I'm glad it's getting the recognition it deserves. I just feel like this is the best drama ever, and want to share it with everyone ^^

Just want to say something about boxuan. Been talking only about baijue/qingmu, so been neglecting boxuan. Boxuan is baijue after the tribulation of chaos, after losing shanggu he spent 60,000 years collecting shanggu soul, and used up half of his power to suppress the tribulation of chaos since he stopped it before it destroy shanggu's soul completely i think. That why in the fight against the former devil god, he seems much weaker. All the gods were in bad shape after the tribulation of chaos when the devil god attack, while the devil god has spend his time in confinement gathering his power to destroy the god realm, as a result he almost overwhelm them. Boxuan spend 10,000 years taking care of houchi, for houchi she consider boxuan as family, and boxuan also cares for houchi the same way. There was no romantic involvement between them. When boxuan said good bye to houchi, and promise to travel with her after his tribulation, i think it was an empty promise since he has already created qingmu and going to merge together with him to get chaos power, so he knew he going to die soon. Houchi would be totally clueless since she does not know anything about the tribulation of chaos, he probably think as time goes by, she will forget him. Ultimately he failed, and qingmu gain his own consciousness, and meet and fall in love with houchi, causing baijue plan to almost fail ^^

Yes, i like it since the first ep, i think shanggu acting spoiled as a goddess has to do with the people around her, lol the way zhizang, tianqi and yuemi treated her compare to how baijue treated her ^^ No wonder she couldn't learn her power from them, she was so spoiled by them, it a wonder she could learn anything at all. I also like zdy acting spoilt especially when she looks like a kid she was so cute ^^

Gini Jin has a rumor drama with him. Tan Songyun would be a nice pairing too ^^

Agree, my first time seeing a couple being so innocent, being gods and living for so long, he being his aloof self and she being it's her first time falling for a guy. Their relationship was at the first stage of falling in love and acknowledge their feeling for each other. They didn't get to enjoy their life together before everything falls apart, and then the tribulation of chaos happens. I was rooting for them to get a chance to be together for real, qingmu and houchi relationship is like gujun said is what baijue and shanggu wish for, but could not have. I'm glad it's a happy ending for both of them ^^

That is just sad. I have seen some actors/actresses that are skin and bone, they look so unattractive. I don't understand china at all, is that their standard of beauty 😓

I saw an interview of his that he said he lost weight when he was shooting for royal feast. Don't think he was trying to lose weight anymore, but i do agree he is skinny enough, no need to lose any more weight. It's best to be healthy, and he does exercise a lot. Agree he needs a break and sleep.

The beginning can be a bit boring for some. It picks up around ep 10 after she went to the netherworld for training. I really love this drama and really like the relationship dynamic between them. They're like two teenagers who only been in love for the first time, just really cute ^^ you should keep watching more eps to see if this drama will change your mind.

I can't remember what ep, but it was when she took on a disciple and made the decision to go to the netherworld for training.

Good to know, to comment about xukai even though he's not in the cast list, has to be an obsession. Thanks ^^

Is that even real, or just a rumor. Not sure if any actor would want to take this project being they're going to be associate with the original actor for his past scandal.

Same ending for novel i heard. It would be nice if this drama has an extended ending, although they did a good job ending on a good note. The author for this novel also written story for yuemi and yuanqi, so it would be nice if it get adapted into season 2 for this drama ^^

I'm excited for this drama. It's a cooking show, so i'm excited how it will be presented. I saw in recommendation jewel in the palace, it an old show but i wouldn't mind if this drama follows the way it was presented in that drama, but only focus on the cooking technique and the competition rather than the court politic. Hope for a light hearted drama, and a happy ending for main leads ^^

Douban is kind of like mdl but in china. From what i heard this drama got lots of hate from e-sport fans and got low rating because of it. I also like falling into your smile ^^

You seem to skip alot of eps from 20s to 40s? those eps are the meat of of the whole show, well it is preference after all; if you're not attracted to the plot then it's your loss, for me i was so intrigue with the plot that i watched without skipping and even went back to rewatch a second time ^^

I'm still listening to the osts of this drama, can't move on just yet. The feeling i get from the osts make me remember all the emotional scenes between shangu/houchi and baijue/qingmu especially the one from Zhou Shen ^^

For the devil power, from my understanding their power came from absorbing power of death immortals, while gods power are naturally cultivated. Devil power is stronger in some sense i do agree due to only power of true god could fight against it. Wuhuan was able to cultivate to the power of devil god like the former devil god. In term of true god power, both tianqi and baijue haven't recover their power of true god while shanggu power was shield inside her by baijue as a result her power is weak. Why is zhiyang a fool, after ep 16, he was pretty much missing from the story. I actually like the villain and her motive here, she was able to get to the position of heavenly empress and her wanting to protect her power by whatever means. In my opinion the fool has to be muguang, the reason for wuhuan getting away with her crimes is his own complicity by pretending to believe she is innocent and even after finding out her crimes he still cover for her. Also wuhuan didn't remain undetected, i remember houchi exposes her, and as a result she got punished and has to go stay in the netherworld for 100 years. Later on, when wuhuan confessed her own crimes to muguang, she also got lock inside the heavenly palace for another 100 years. Baijue knew wuhuan was a devil god, but his power was damage that's why he agree to marry her daughter to keep tap on on both of them, also as a way to break up with houchi completely. It was baijue that gotten the demon clan and immortal clan to finally work together for peace after fighting for so long, not a bad job compare to muguang, and in turn also got through to jin yang. For the drama, both tianqi and wuhuan are given more importance compare to novel, but i do agree about gujun his relationship with wuhuan was never explore, beside a few sentences that he was negligence to her as a result she left him for muguang. For fl, even though she has weak power, she was pretty bad ass when the situation called for like her defending the human realm when demons and immortals fight, or punishing a villain when she was badmouthing her friend. Or willing to take the punishment to protect ml from punishment. Ml and fl are the strength of this drama, but if you don't like their love story then you might not like it. For me i love them and want to see them have a happy ending after so many hardship, can only blame it on fate that after all baijue planning his plan almost fail because qingmu and houchi fell in love ^^

Glad to hear you're not judging her on outer appearance. For xukai, he is the only actor that could make me feel for his character whomever he played, i think he put himself in each of his character, as a result the character just feels real to me, his eyes can speak ^^ Also it's a refreshing change to see him take on another serious role in this drama as well as falling into your smile after watching so many comedic roles from him. Anyway he is my bias, i have watch other actors, and love their characters and i would move on, but with xukai he made me fall in love with his characters, and they will always have a place in my heart ^^
