I love this drama from the get go, and i find ml and fl very endearing in their interaction. I think it does take time for some people, since the beginning was about plot introduction and characters building. I love the whole concept, so it not boring for me.

Yes, the first 16 eps are extra that was written for the drama. Starting ep 17 is the main storyline. In my opinion i love the god realm, the main leads relationship is just so cute, being it kind of like a role reversal where the fl is the one who did the pursue while ml is being shy and awkward, it's rare to see this type of relationship and i just love how shanggu personality was able to thaw baijue out compare to all those girls who only made him annoyed with their constant attention.

I was shocked as wuhuan lol. He's not someone i consider to have such view before. He looked down on the demon clan, and took every opportunity to fight with them. Let just say being away from wuhuan's influence has done him lots of good, or it's baijue's authority and influence that gotten through to him ^^

Yes, if you notice even as a baby he was already self conscious and understand his surrounding.

There were lots of hints that he came from our modern time, but due to censorship it wasn't mention but it's obvious his thinking is very modern ^^

Agree, my favorite genre was wuxia, but even if this is xanxia i'm really impress with the cgi and fighting scenes, the casts done a wonderful job and just give us a feeling that they don't just stand there and wait for for the cgi to take over. This is what a good production should be like, just gives me a satisfy feeling of watching a good wuxia that i haven't felt in a long time. The music are beautiful and just make us emotional when certain scenes evoke such a strong feeling. The beautiful love story from main to supports. The villains feel real and have their own motivation. I'm just in love with this drama, it just got everything i would want in my favorite drama. It would be nice if we get a season 2 with the same team ^^

Thanks for giving us a full account of the incident. I was wondering if his fans came to his defense, and it looks like they didn't. It's a sensitive topic, but what got to me is how he's willing to be the bad guy and didn't make himself the victim otherwise his fans could turn on his ex and cyberbully her, instead he made himself the target and suffer in silent. I think xukai is a strong and hard working guy, he didn't let rumors or bad publicity affected him whatsoever, and instead let his action and hard work speak for itself and he has proven himself in each of his project ^^

I hear lots of comparison to go go squid, but i haven't watch that drama yet. Give it a few eps to see if this drama spark your interest ^^

Ancient love poetry has such a good plot, after rewatching it i'm still emotional over the ending. I get to watch all eps without having to wait for next eps like i was my first time watching, so i can appreciate the story line more. My favorite character has to be baijue/boxuan/qingmu, i would like to say for those who like qingmu he's a part of baijue who does not have responsibility of being a true god who can love houchi freely and just be the best boyfriend/husband he can be. As for baijue/boxuan his love for houchi/ shanggu is so deep that he was willing to split his original being to create qingmu so he can cultivate demon power in order for him to obtain chaos power so he can take on the tribulation of chaos for her. I so glad xukai get to play this character because i get to watch him use his eyes to express baijue/boxuan unspoken feeling, and his deep love for shanggu. My other favorite characters is shanggu/houchi who is such a strong fl and not because of her status as a true god but because of how she handle herself in many situations that are disadvantage to her, she never give up, she love wholeheartedly and would do anything to protect the person she love, also she is a fighter she is not afraid to speak her mind, or get her revenge when she has been wrongs. Yuanqi is such a precocious child, who is so young but so understanding of his surrounding, he is just an adorable child. Would have love for their family to be reunited and have a scene together as a bonus scene. So many other great support characters tianqi, fengran, jing jian, zhiyang, hongri, zhihan, etc. This drama turns into my favorite drama because of the great plot, great cgi/action scenes, great mains/support characters, one of the best osts i ever heard in a drama. 10/10.

I feel bad for the actor. I really like his bromance with wang lu. I'm glad there's a season 2 coming with all the casts in s1 hopefully ^^

Yeah i think the censorship is strong in this drama. Even in the early eps when i thought that it was left intact, there was an incident that was never mention in the drama when grand emperor and crown prince talked or when the emperor and crown prince talked it was kind of gloss over. Also the crown prince intent to kill prince han and take over the throne and make the emperor into the grand emperor was never mention in the drama, as a result he became so depress and want to kill himself after he failed, not just because he loss to prince han. It kind of like a repeat of history because the emperor has done it before to his own father. Did you also catch the part about crown princess being killed by prince han to revenge on his wife, and crown princess didn't kill herself like it was suggest in the drama. This is what make the emperor so angry and cause him to punish prince han so severely and it makes more sense.

Their current favorite xanxia my guess. Haven't watch any Cheng yi drama so i can't comment on him, but agree about some guys being so skinny, they look like a woman, that trend has to stop because those guys are not attractive at all, and it encourage such unhealthy bahavior from young people like losing weight when you don't need to.

I also like to see fl being strongest, but alp does satisfy me in term of having fl makes the sacrifice first, it gives ml motivation to do what he did toward the end. I love dramas where both ml and fl are show strong and equal in power, and they do everything together houchi/shanggu is the type of fl i like, they're forward with the person they love, and also very protective toward them. Baijue has to go through with his plan and hide things from shanggu/houchi because she would have done the same thing she did in the god realm again if she finds out about the tribulation of chaos, and ruin his plan i love that about her character ^^
