I agree her character was a bit stiff and expressionless at times, but i was able to overlook because xukai was able to sold me the cp and i find their chemistry was very natural even in bts, they look like they're very comfortable with each other ^^

Sometimes i have to stop the video, so i could read the subtitle or rewind it so i could understand what was said, so no not just you ^^

For me i was able to accept her character since i didn't read novel. I'm watching this drama for xukai, and i really like his character as the responsible captain, as well as their relationship at first his teasing of her, to accepting her as teammate to liking her and asking her out, and i also like their chemistry. I was thinking about tong yao character, if it was intentional for her character to be a bit different from novel since the novel have some controversy. Still a fun and exciting drama, with great support characters as well as life lesson about cyberbullying and being a fan.

I like that snow goddess redeems herself in the end in the fight against the devil. She was unlike wuhuan and jing zhao who did everything for love, and gotten taken advantage of by the subordinate of the devil god. She gotten her revenge in the end though, it was bittersweet. I thought the devil god was another cool villain, his scheme might have succeeded if it weren't for all the gods sacrifice their lives to fight back. Wuhuan was a cool villain, but in my opinion compare to the former devil god, she was much weaker, but she does have grandiose opinion of herself, and i like her motive of wanting to gain power, it is much more compelling because she was a nobody but she was able to climb to the position of heavenly empress ^^

If you haven't decide on what to watch next, watch ama it's a really good drama , and i love his personality in this one, a bit similar to his personality in dance of the sky empire ^^

I like him with all the actresses he worked with. I can't wait for his drama with yangmi since it will be a modern drama and i'm looking forward to another modern drama from him. I also wouldn't mind him working with seven tan, i love the height different between him and zhou dongyu, so i also like their height difference from seeing them getting an award together ^^

Someone was asking before what did houchi see in qingmu, i can tell them it in ep 25, she said she love everything about him he is stupid and impulsive and he doesn't know what girls like, it's funny that she likes that aspect about him lol. I agree though qingmu is so adorable being clueless, his way of getting her to miss him is really special, getting her friends to entertain her about story about him with other girls ^^

For court lady i didn't mind it so much because it follows novel and the fl is capable and has a strong personality. I do agree sheng chumu is an interesting character, and he just commands attention when he appears even with limited screentimes ^^ His screentimes will be more toward the end though.

I agree, i love plot with strong females, so alp falls into that category of having equal focus on ml and fl, as well as showing fl not being a damsel in distress, her toughness is what i love about her character, but i also love her cheerfulness and how she's not afraid to pursue ml when she realizes her feeling for him in the first arc ^^ For dance of the sky empire, i didn't feel the fl because they made the sml doing most of the thinking for her, as well as doing the rescuing when she's a strong girl in her own right, just ruins her character for me :(

Like most historical dramas, it's not intense like modern dramas, just simple kisses.

I like this couple too, but i love the main couple. I'm loving the dynamic between qingmu/houchi and shanggu/baijue. Their characters are very well thought out and written ^^

I think tong yao was jealous of tall girls since she keeps getting tease for being short by cheng ge. There was a scene where she was wearing high heel because she knew cheng ge date was going to show up, and she was taller than her. I agree, at least she is still taller than me, i'm so much shorter than her :(

Ok good to hear, i was wondering since i was reading someone comment saying drama didn't follow novel toward last 10 eps. What crazy parts did they cut?

The drama follows novel really well, it also expanded on some scenes in the novel. However drama has censorship issues that why toward the end some scenes were cut from drama, if you want to know more about the relationship of consort yan and her servant and fushui that was omitted in the drama as well as the feeling and thought of the characters capture in novel better.

Yes i also love the first arc, i don't skip any scenes, while i was watching this drama i was missing the god realm so much after it was close. It was the good time before everything got destroyed and the tribulation of chaos happens.

Haven't watch love and redemption but I like this more than ashes of love, so yes you're right it's different preference. This drama is rich in plot and i love everything about it. The love story of main couple is really special in my opinion, both of them have to balance duty to the three realms and their love to each other. The friendship between shanggu and yuemi, houchi and fengran, shanggu/houchi is so lucky to have two best friends who always there to support her. The bond between the four true gods, their support of each other even when things go wrong they don't turn on each other, but try to understand the other person, and cover for them. The side couples are also interesting fengran and jing jian, yuemi and her unrequitted love to tianqi. The villain is also much cooler than the one in ashes of love. I'm rewatching and still can't get over it, i don't skip a single ep because i just love this drama too much ^^

Yes that how i see it. I'm also in the 20s ep not as far as you are, but it's only a few eps to go to the ending ^^
