For me, this drama deserve much higher rating than it got. Most of us who watching this knows she a girl, but she still did a good job playing a boy and looks like a boy. I think in china some boys look girly and also short as well so she falls into that category. This is a time in history with lots of lawlessness, and also a war time so killing is a normal business for them as long as they could get away with it. The acting in this show is great, i love the main and support roles; in my opinion with or without romance this is a character driven show, and i love how they explore the different characters in this show, everyone get a moment to shine. This is all base on our own preference of course, i love it because it's funny, with lots of action and strong female lead and supports, and i love the ml personality.

Have to disagree both of them are main characters, both are twin brothers who are separated at birth. This follow a novel by jin yong, i also seen an older adaptation of this same story with tony leung and hugo ng. The girl at first falls in love with one brother, but as she spends time with the other brother her feeling changes and she realizes it wasn't love. Also i feel so much pity for her, the first guy she fell for, treated her horibly, while the second guy is such a gentleman, so i don't blame her for falling for him. It's too bad the second main girl came really late into the story, jiang xiao and su ying are more compatible, both of them are smart and capable.

I heard good things about under the power, maybe i will try it. For me i love all xukai's roles, i like the two you mention but the one that stand out for me are the story of yanxi palace and once upon a time in lingian mountain.

The legend is also good, his character is very different from lixuan, but one thing doesn't change is his devotion to fl. My major complain is the editing and the length of this drama could've been shorter. I'm glad you are not dropping dotse, it's almost to the end only a few more eps to go ^^
