Really want to see xukai in a wuxia, guess this is the next best thing. I'm hopeful he will star in a wuxia in his future work, i think he will be great in it with his physique and athleticism.

What are you watching beside this one? I guess it was easy for me to watch it since i can watch only one at a time.

I find it an easy watch, and sometimes can be very funny due to lixuan's antic. The latter half of the show is much heavier due to all the misunderstanding, but still an enjoyable drama, the 2nd couple also have lots of cute moments. Agree with you, lots of young actors however they did a great job with their roles, really liking lixuan's 2 guy friends, longweier, etc.

Didn't know he was in arsenal military academy as well.

I heard about this, he loss a court battle a few years back for plagarism, and was supposed to pay a penalty and apologizes. He paid the penalty but didn't apologizes until recently due to a new law. I hope his mistakes will not affect all the actors under him, it has nothing to do with them and he should be the only one to be held accountable, since this is a past case.

Really love their uniform color especially the blue/green color, also the soundtracks for this dramas are just so good especially the opening and ending. I like to ask what breed of dog is wakai, the old man dog is so cute ^^

Try a few episodes to see if it's something you would like that's my suggestion ^^

True, but i think she's convincing enough dressing up as a guy. Also lixuan and his bodyguard figure prince mu and fl stole the token, that is why he went to confront her. Don't drop it, this is a very good show with good acting, there're some angst in between, but the reward is worth it. It's has a happy ending ^^

I know him well enough to know that lots of stars who work in support roles became very well known after working with him like yangmi, etc. Some main roles took a back seat to the support roles like in story of yanxi palace, i got to know xukai from this drama, and the empress his sister, or charmaine shea as the second empress, etc. What i'm trying to say it what matter is the script and the character choice rather than whether you're main or support. Sometimes the main actress get diss for not being pretty enough compare to support role; i care much more for acting than look though, but that how chinese entertainment is like they care for superficial things as a result lots of their dramas are not very good due to bad acting or bad writung, etc.

I find it weird to complain when this year she got 3 main roles came out at the same time? On the other hand, i don't think you should diss support roles when it was through those roles that i found some of my favorites, wu jia yi also got noticed for her support role in arsenal military academy. What matter should be the plot/character and whether there is chemistry between the casts, rather than just being main or support, her character in dance of the sky empire wasn't as well receive than her character in arsenal military academy even though she is fl.

Good to know, i was worry if it's boycotted, it will be delay even longer.

He and the child actor pull off the shi guang character very well, i'm impress ^^

Really good show, all the actors pull through for a very enjoyable drama. One of the best adaptation of a manga/anime. I heard so many positives review about this show, so I have to check it out myself and i'm not disappointed ^^

I also like the firework scenes ^^ Longweier is a prince of that kingdom so she wants to keep her kingdom in power. She suspected yulian was from the kunwu's clan and will make trouble to her kingdom. She orchestrated an attack on the kunwu clan to test yulian and caught her in the act, but she failed since nobody believe her. She tried to convince lixuan that yulian was from the kunwu's clan, but he was in love with yulian, so he refuses to believe her. Her birthmark was how lixuan identified her as the baby he saw in the past with the old man when she was escaping from assassins, they should've focus on longweier story more, that's a miss opportunity. I agree yulian has wings but most of the time she doesn't use her wings, they never touch on that, is it because they don't have the budget for it, or she can use her wings only when she is strong. Also yulian mark on her forehead, i don't think it ever comes back after she carve it out with a knife.

Hope this new year will be another new chapter in your acting career xukai. I'm so excited for the next drama to come out from you. Also can't wait for your collaboration with yangmi. I hope to see you working with many more talented actresses. Best wishes ^^

I think for this drama the love triangle tag was so unnecessary. They just want to make it much more than it's. For once yulian will never love anyone else beside lixuan, but she also hurts him for no reason others than to listen to her teacher, to carry out her duty to her clan but it just fell flat because she has no control over her own decisions, she has to rely on another to do most of the work for her. As a result she turn into a user kindof, she pretty much use prince mu to help her to complete her task. She's getting unnecessary hate for this since i don't think she realizes prince mu has feeling for her. I think her character is naive and clueless, wu jia yi playing this character is ok for me, i don't click with it since i love strong female character, and her character is very different from it. I like long weier as a character better, her character is very interesting and it's sad that her character is not the focus or her developing feeling for lixuan. Even in the synopsis, it was long weier, lixuan and yulian that develop complicated relationship, no where was prince mu even mention. I didn't believe in prince mu feeling for yulian either, it just didn't move me i was sad for him that about it. For me he was much luckier than lixuan, he still has his parent, his sister and he even gain a brother-in-law, plus he still has a fiance his parent chose for him. The fact they ruin the main female lead in order to make a support character shine also annoyed me, it just feels to me like he's being promoted because his story is more complete than even the main character. Lixuan is an such an interesting character, there're so much more to explore to his character such as his parent past, his interaction with his uncle, it's a miss opportunity for this drama. This drama was rumor to have like 60 eps and for it to be cut to only 28, it could've been so much more than what we were given.
About yulian she didn't die because the old man from that other realm is a healer, so he healed her like how he healed her from her poison before.

Xiao hai didn't go to the same school as wang lu. There is an anime with the same name if you're interested.

They both look good together. Xukai and zhou dong yu both look younger than their age. I'm excited for this drama too, the trailer looks so good ^^
