I just found out xukai became a spoke person for OPL. Does that mean the drama is not being boycott anymore?

I also like long weier, it's too bad her scenes are quite late into the show so we don't get lots of interaction between her and lixuan. Otherwise i would ship her with lixuan too, her character is very strong and make a good impression on me when seeing her struggle with her identity and her wanting to reveal her gender to lixuan is so cute.

I don't think they had a falling out. I know they're both focusing on their career, but there're lots of rumors of their dating and break up so they probably stop working together to stop the rumors from getting out of control. That what i think happen, or their agency decides for them.

You're right. I watch because i like the plot or the actors. If it's not interesting i will stop watching. I watched lots of xukai dramas, and he hasn't disappointed me in all his dramas. Currently i'm watching hikaru no go, it's a very good show about people wanting to become professional go players, a great adaptation from the manga/anime i would recommend.

Iqiyi and drama cool i think. It's weird how many others shows tell you where to watch them, while this one does not have one. Don't be fool by the bad review, it's a good show.

I agree with you, the ending was cut i believe and that's why it ends so abruptly. They totally confuse some of the audiences on who the fl marries lol.

I hope it come out this december. I also saw the happy camp episode that's why i was so excited that it will come out soon, but that was months ago and still not even a trailer.

I have to disagree, this one of the dramas that show how strong females are. Strength can come in many forms, doesn't have to be physical strength. Women can't compete with men when compare to physical strength, i thought they did a good job with depicting this era. In those days respectable women are require to get marry and be housewives. The main actress was a schoolgirl before she sign into that academy, so being the weakest is obvious with her small stature, but eventually she became stronger and able to fight with men on an even level.

I'm not particular about genre, i used to watch wuxia before mostly jin yong stuffs. Now i only watch shows that will interest me like with actors i like or if they have a good story line. Most of wu jinyan stuffs are historical and modern, i think the only one that is xanxia/fanstasy is zhaoge, and there is still no airing date.

I agree with u, but what i feel mad about is how they did the female lead dirty in this show. She is a strong girl, but in order to make this prince stand out, they made her into a damsel in distress, and he was turn into this suffering hero being used by her. I don't appreciate that kind of writing since i love strong female lead, so it just turned me off this pairing, and i just didn't believe his feeling for her; it's very unrealistic that he would fall for her at first sight when she is not that type of pretty, his sister is more pretty than Yulian. The main lead feeling for each other is much more believable in my opinion, and i could see how they start to fall for each other. I would've like for them to focus on Long weier story line much more than Yulian, her story was introduce so late into the story line, i kind of see why you would like lixian with her better though, she is the kind of female lead i would've like.

Yeah i rate this 9/10. The love story of main lead is kind of similar to ashes of love, but it's much shorter. The rating does not determine the show though, sometimes you have to watch a few episodes before you can decide whether it's to your liking ^^
