I didn't watch moonlight mystique, so it probably deviate from the novel because the sml in ancient love poetry is ml in moonlight mystique from the novel. And in term of power i don't know what you're expecting from him by comparing him to a god, his character is a mortal who has been training to be a monk so he's detach from wordly desire, he is better than a normal mortal but will not act like someone with privilege power and status like a god would. And both these characters have very different personality, if you want to compare at least use someone who has similar profession to mzy.

I don't think this has anything to do with with ml, mdl doesn't really care about actor scandal. This drama started out under 8 on the first day and been rated down ever since by haters. Regarding the ml, he has denied dating this woman and has already filed a lawsuit against the woman for slander.

You're so right in that drama it glorify the sml over ml, and was really low budget after yanxi palaxe and arsenal military. Xukai still did great in that drama but he could've done much better projects, i felt bad for both xukai and wjy because they could've get a better script.
