Yes i do think yz uses both xukai and bailu to promote new actors. In the case of bailu she was more lucky because she got main role right away, xukai debuted as a support character and he got a lucky break after story of yangxi palace became popular. I'm not saying bailu didn't work hard for her role, but it's clear she gotten more help from yuzheng than xukai because she was already given main role as soon as she debuted.

This comment section is very friendly and don't even touch on bailu, it's only when bailu fans start to come to this channel and making accusation against xukai or blamed him for something he has no control over then that when his fans will talk back. Xukai apologizes not because he was in the wrong but because it was the right thing to do, he ackowledges they had fight but it wasn't physical violence. What makes you think xukai didn't face boycott and backlash? His new drama didn't air for two years and he was in low budget dramas back to back. He didn't get as many works offer after that scandal blow up; cent is not as kind to actor as actress, they kept bringing up his old scandal and black marketing each time he has a new drama coming up.

Nicely put, those types of people are the ones that usually got my attention because they're much harder to figure out, and will be the most likely to feel very strong emotion once they start to fall for someone ^^
