Contrary to you, "innocent,naive,childish" FLs are the major reasons for me to never be able to watch through xianxias haha. I couldn't get past ep1 of Ashes of love, ep4 of Eternal love & never thought of tasting L&R for the same reason. The only one I finished with intrigue & loved is Love between Fairy & Devil.
Tbh, Women are so stereotyped in xianxias, Ji Yun He just broke the stereotype for all xianxia FLs, the rise of alpha female leads in xianxias. But yeah, I can see still a lot of people prefer the soft, naive, innocent labels attached to fls, so xianxias with them tend to get more popular. But personally I really loved the role reversal here, all decisions, sacrifices, endeavors, generally reserved for MLs in xianxia are done by our heroine.

It feels really funny, the fact that traffic actors can't play social issues/military roles. This kind of restriction would wreak havoc among fandoms for sure if they pass this as one. I don't see why these dramas cannot be played by traffic stars when they have the skill, screen presence & charisma to command the roles. And cp marketing has become a rare thing for traffic stars nowadays anyways, what are they actually trying to achieve by setting it up as a restriction at all? Real fans of Dilraba are extremely happy for her to be in PE. There are several tribute videos of fans as she also debuted with Anarhan broadcasted in CCTV. Its a serious non-romance genre & a great opportunity to showcase her capabilities as an actor in real life prestigious roles. Also it will be broadcasted in the most highly regarded & the most widely known platform/channel CCTV.

By "fans", you must not generalize. You can just say, you & few more who aren't into serious, non-romance dramas may be uninterested.

Yeah, but for me, as long as the final product arrives as a masterpiece, I'm ready to forgive everything. But as matter of fact, LOA hasn't acually taken that much of a time to release either I'd say, looking at other dramas that are coming out of the closet 1.5-3 years from filming.

It hasn't even announced its premiere date yet, what do you mean by "keeps getting rescheduled" ? All the dates of airing till now are just rumors. It hasn't even obtained the distribution license required to broadcast yet.

They've been sisters since a long time ago & continues to be the closest. Dilraba would always mention YangMi if asked who is her closest in the industry or who would make her happy just by thinking of her. Yang Mi always mentions Dilraba in her variety shows or interviews.

That's not what idol dramas are. Idol dramas are dramas with no substance. I can't consider any of her dramas as idol dramas starting from The Long Ballad. Legend of An Le cannot, in any way, be called an idol drama either with the content it has.

Not all costume/romance dramas can be considered as idol dramas. For example, Joy of Life & Story of Minglan, they are costume dramas with romance but not idol dramas.

Maybe Pretty Li Hui Zhen, Sweet Dreams could be termed as idol dramas. I think for general people, they label everything idol dramas when a big celeb considered as a traffic star get cast in it. But idol dramas can be easily distinguished from serious ones, observing the content, production & gravity of the characters & dynamics.

As for pain level, I'd say its 10000/10 (but in a beautiful, deep, complex & layered way, not in an annoying, irritating or toxic way)

Although I loved Shi Zhengyan & thei loveline, I'm intrigued by the new change given to An Ning's loveline, Mo Bei's storyline is clearly taken from that betrayer character Li who had a loveline with Junxuan/ whatever his name was. It'll be really interesting to see but this also adds another mountain of pain to An Ning's already existing painful storyline !
