thanks for catching this! i used the spoiler button but then edited to fix a typo. apparently you have to choose the spoiler button every time š¤·š»āāļøš¤·š»āāļø
I didn't understand single thing in this series can anyone explain?
Think of it like this: in this world, some Gen X people carried a mutant gene that became active and changed their bodies. Some people learned they could fly, orhers regenerate, be extremely strong, have X ray vision, etc. Itās a mutation but it affects a very small percentage of the population (so not like a Zombie outbreak). This is the story of the first generation of mutants and how the S Korean government used some of them as assassins and spies in black ops. That program was disbanned and the Gen X mutant agents had to get regular jobs (and most went in hiding to hide their powered kids). The former head of black ops started a secret incubation program because he saw the mutation (super powers) could be inherited. They built a high school (the principal is a mutant whose power is to sniff out other mutants) to train and recruit the second generation of mutants (Gen Z mutants). There are 3 confirmed Gen Z mutants in this high school and some maybes. North Korea sent spies to find out more about the old and new program and the US has their alphabet mutant children (we met F, Frank who can regenerate). Frank was sent to kill the Gen X mutants and find (and kill? capture?) the Gen Z ones. Sadly for Frank, he met Jang JuWoon who is pretty much indistructible.
I recommend you forever love with a really handsome bodyguard Dai Gao Zheng
oooh looks good! Thanks! Iām totally here for a story of body guard with a 12 pack. I bet IRL shirtless bodyguards donāt last long⦠but in dramaland šš
Yeah, but showing up dressed in a wedding gown was a bit extra. I love that no one, not even the bride, says anything…
š¤£š¤£ I just wished someone in the audience would have turned to their neighbor and said āand THATās why one does not wear white to a weddingā š¤£š¤£
I hope that Ma Cheng Jun died and it was a great dead, killed by his sex partner. Thatās karma šš»šš»šš»š„³š„³š„³
I truly appreciate a good vengeful comment. šš¼šš¼When her ex was pleading with her (after assaulting her) my first thought was āshe should take him on the roof and watch him jumpā if he makes it, she tells him that maybe sheāll forgive himā but only if heās comatose.ā As to her bestie, hereās hoping Cell Block D karma gets her.
This is surprisingly good for a short form drama. The acting of the 3 main characters is really very good. Iād…
Try āAn Ancient Love Song.ā Itās 12 eps, and heās a modern day scholar who time travels to empressā lifeā but in reverse chronological order (like in āThe Time Travelerās Wifeā). His first time traveling is her last time seeing him and his last time is her first time. Well written, poignant and easy to watch (and sigh over).
What an ending š¤£š¤£š¤£ššš For a short drama it was pretty good .āļø8,5/10
Yeah, but showing up dressed in a wedding gown was a bit extra. I love that no one, not even the bride, says anything about another bride crashing the wedding š¤£
This is my second favorite mini (after āNight of Love With Youā). The CP had some fire chemistry (I would love to see what they can do in longer drama). This MLā wheeeww! he can guard my dispossessed assets aaany time. She is beautiful and a solid actress (loved her as love rival turned bestie in āPlease Be My Familyā). Itās 3.2? hours altogether and easy to binge and enjoy.
Iām throughly enjoying this thus far. The premise: two rocks from the same meteorite fall into two different worlds: our world and a Wuxia world; when there are thunderstorms the rocks attract each other and a wormhole is created between the two worlds allowing objects and people to teleport. Our leads donāt know how they can travel to each otherās world until ep 11āso they accidentally fall into each otherās world and shenanigans ensue.
This drama is light and enjoyable. The comedy and acting is great; the writing is guffaw-inducing (e.g deadly disco martial arts, domineering ladyās lipstick, the ML sporting a vest with ābeautyā in front and ādream guyā on backā¦so many cute moments!) CP has great chemistry and the ML is a wuxia martial arts god who is all googly eyes and affectionate to our FL. The FL is a goofball who means well and comes through when it counts. Iām hoping the writing stays consistent to ep 32!
I echo most peopleās sentiments here! This was X men/mutants origin stories done well. It had gobs of action, twists, and fleshed out characters. It was well written, well acted and well cast.
As a manhwa/comics geek, this was SOOO up my alley! Wolverine/JJW (regeneration powers) as a dad is pretty badass; now that HS has an indestructible uncle, I pity her first boyfriend. Also, growing up with a Korean mom with perfect hearing š³š³ā how is KBS not a top student in college by 15?
can someone explain to me how the north korean soldiers got their powers by jumping off the cliff?
Think of it as a mutation gene that becomes activated in instances of extreme adrenaline. The NK went through a rigorous selection process and only a few passed. Of those who passed, the ones who survived the leap their mutation kicked in. Of course, if thereās a psychic or someone with telepathy, they would probably not āpassā this test.
Finished it! This was well written, well acted and had some nice cinematography. The characters are also well developed and they all had ājourneysā: ML starts as spoiled heir but grows into SW role using impressive deductive reasoning skills and strategy (heās more Zhuge Liang and less Liu Bei); 2ML starts as antagonist but heās the necessary boogie man; FL starts as a hopeless assassin bride and develops into bride. 2FLā¦. weeeell, her journey felt slower.
As a follow up, I would absolutely watch S2⦠or another 24 episodes of Lei Cheng going from hot tub to velvet loungewear to working out with swords⦠and then hot tub again š¤Ŗ
Finally caught up to ep 17ā aaack! got me right in the feels. The acting was great, Ryan in a hot tub was a nice (but thirsty) break. ZLHās skin is flawlessā heās so beautiful in this!
Besides the visuals, Iām loving the writing (cohesive, suspenseful and not a lot of plot holes). The show keeps me guessing as to the next big reveals (who is the Big Boss Lady Assassin? will Yun Wei turn double agent? what will happen to the pretty assassins once itās all toppledā will they just hit up all those Gong hotties that never leave the mountain? How will Prince Poison ever find a girl when his face is so punchable? )
As a side noteā can we take a pause to admire the sequins and beads budget for this drama? Every single outfit has beads, sequins, shine, some feathers, furs. I suspect the Gong clanās seamstress ran a cabaret in town before going up the mountain. I donāt hate itā but when the CP were in the cave I couldnāt help but think āWuxia Liberace lightā when they debuted matching white flowy gowns with gold sequins and feathers. Am I wrong? š§š§
