They got their task done which is to inform Qingqiu that Suying killed the nine-tailed fox princess. They wanted to prevent Qingqiu from falling into the rumors that TY killed the princess. So it’s unclear if they are still in Qingqiu or left it as they were successful with their task. Also, neither Xiange nor FQS are spirits, so I don’t know if they are welcomed to stay there.

I’d rather the Qingqiu Clan be against them just so our CP can work together again. They are best when it’s them against the world.

She is so kind and eloquent when she rejects men who are interested in her. She was sweet to the rich fat dude when she rejected his proposal. She was also super kind to TY when she rejected his peace offering (not understanding that he was truly in love with her by this point). Burning the black cloth meant he no longer has a restraining order and can freely and conveniently show up around her.😀

I completely agree with this analysis and said something similarly before. At the end of the day, since most of us ship dragon with YH, we only empathize with these two characters. Many forget to put themselves in BXS’s shoes to understand his behavior. I hope there will be a redemption arc for him. At least YT had happiness in Dragon Valley prior to meeting Suying, and YH grew up in the Taoist clan with her master and senior disciple brother. They both had happiness and love, whereas BXS was rejected by the shadow clan and his own mother. BXS only knows of betrayal, isolation, rejection, and darkness. He even said YH was the only light in his dark life, so it’s clear he will cling onto this light at all cost.
Like how YH chose to avoid revenge after YT stabbed her, I hope the writer can soon give BXS clarity in his behavior so he can change for the better. He needs to if he still wants YH to be in his life even as a friend.

I would love to have them star in a Wuxia series together…a well written one of course.

He is a gentleman, and I think he is like that with all of his female co-stars. he also strikes me as very flirty with all of his female costars too. Nothing wrong with that. It’s par for the course to promote his series. I wish I can say it’s only reserved for Zhou Ye, but after seeing his other interviews I know that isn’t the case. The guy also probably is very aware of how good-looking he is too. Regardless, he’s hard-working, is invested in the characters he plays, and responds to his fans’ questions about his ongoing series. It’s hard not to admire him.

Seems like the author isn’t a great screenwriter as well. I do like that the series weakened both leads as I think it’s silly to follow the adventures of someone who is invincible (what adventures), but I hate that the default for relationship development is to overcome misunderstandings. There are other ways to advance relationships in drama.

We don’t need unnecessary misunderstandings…I know this is Xanxia, but BFTB acquired a large fan base because the first 14 episodes had great communication between the leads. Not to mention the awesome humor as well. I would have been happy watching 40 episodes of their adventure while the leads organically fall in love. Now it just feels to formulaic. I hope the series goes back to its roots soon…it has been a while since I totally got into a drama like this.

I hope it’s not true that the fired the only funny scriptwriter they had around episode 14.

Agree. They don’t need to drag out the development. I get why they are losing viewers, but I am too invested in this couple to drop the drama.

Finally saw episodes 18-19.
I understand YH experiences PTSD around YT, but it feels as though the dark aura magnifies all of her negative thoughts and causes her to perseverate only on the negative experiences around YT. When she first was “revived from death,” her feistiness was still there. After the black flower was planted on her, she lost her spark and was much more mellow. So I wonder how much of her decision to break all ties with YT is her own. It’s possible that it’s 100% since in her mind, her love was unrequited and he invalidated the importance of her life.

I am totally team Dragon (vs team BXS). Yes, I wanted him to grovel, but I didn’t expect him to suffer to this extent. YH has every right to be fearful of him since she thought he tried to kill her, but our poor dragon boy was split into pieces. He may not have died but he suffered for a decade after he was dismembered with no Hope or end in sight…this for many is a fate worse than death. Again, YT messed up big time, but it definitely saddens me to see how YH is so indifferent to him. At least if she was angry then there is still hope for the relationship because it means he still matters to her. Indifference signals that she is truly done with him. That pact is just the saddest thing to witness in this episode. I don’t want their misunderstanding to drag on until episode 27 (appears this will be the case). I need to see them be lovey dovey again!

I don’t fault BXS for what he did. Remember he was also heartbroken for YH when he witnessed YT rejecting her. He is making the most of this opportunity now that YH is a free woman. I may not agree with his method, but I understand his need to ensure YH’s freedom at all cost and make her fall for him in the process.

Is it true they fired the scriptwriter who gave us all that laughter in the first 14 episodes? I hope not because that scriptwriter gave us so many golden moments which I hope to see more of later on.

I originally came here for Zhou Ye. She caught my attention in Word of Honor although I didn’t finish the series. I saw pictures of her and Neo’s characters and decided to catch this show when it aired. I am so glad to spend my time on this series instead of others.

I didn’t even noticed until you pointed it out. I noticed the colors, leaves, and Zhou Ye’s side profile. Then I thought HMH’s side profile looked more like Xu Kai than his own on the poster.😂

It is one of the best Xanxia posters I have seen. This production team clearly cared about aesthetics the most. Look at the leads and SML and now this poster!
