Completely agree...but I like that she has been consistent in choosing strong female characters thus far. So I hope she continues to well written character.
Why is this not airing anywhere where people can actually watch it legitimately??? It's actually so good and the…
I feel like Youku doesn't care for ZY. They didn't promote BFTB until they saw what a following that series had (it even hit a heat index of 10000) and the same for SOT.
Zhou Ye's acting debut was natural and stands out in Word of Honor, but here as FL, she is like Wu Jin Yan's clone…
ZY seems quite loyal to Li Bing Bing and her agency. I'm sort of glad ZY is not attention seeking and doesn't create drama/noise to increase her popularity. This allows her time to pick various projects to improve her skill set...It's nice to see that she hasn't been type cast yet. However, I do want to see her in grand projects as well. Perhaps SOT will propel her career further, and more opportunities will come her way.
I still can't get over HRZ flex to FL, according to him "Kill count" is the greatest indicator of maturity/adulthood.
It's because she fought for ZLY by hook or by crook that landed herself and her family in trouble. She may challenge authority, but in this case, she respects the princess and learned from her first life. She also knows there is a gulf between their social status especially as a divorced woman. The two situations are not the same. She may love the ML but she also knows that she cannot be in his harem and prefer a quiet life. The constant back stabbing in a harem was fun for her to observe but not participate in. I agree that HQ needs to step it up for the ML who has done so much for her; unfortunately, she is in PTSD, survival, and revenge mode. If she didn't care or respect the Princess then that would be a different story. Also, there is no way HQ camp can beat the Princess's camp should HQ wish to go against her. HQ would lose all the important people to her and she has had enough of loss. I'm not excusing HQ taking the ML's love for granted, but I can see why she cannot meet him half way. It's easy for us as modern viewers to do what we want but not for HQ who is confined by customs and tradition.
Zhou Ye/HQ reminds me of a younger Zhang ZiYi, especially when she has her hair down center split.
There was a scene from Back From the Brink where she really looked like ZZY (when she walked up to Su Ying and elbowed her face). However, I find ZY features softer and more delicate at times.
NGL.. after episode 18 I rewatch earlier episode for the Lord. I'm glad I started this not knowing anything because…
Yes. Lord is my endgame for HQ as well....how can I not when he has been plastered with HQ as the main CP for the past year? Also, I have started the novel and it's hard not to ship them. They just have such intense chemistry in the series and novel.
but at the moment he is the only male character that treats her well, saves her and worries about her. I am shipping…
From what I have read in this thread, ZXW, ZYL, and HQ grew up together. ZXW has loved HQ from young, but HQ only had eyes for ZYL. So ZXW took a step back in HQ's first life. Ssome will argue that a man who loves a woman will fight for her; others will argue that a man who truly loves a woman will wish her happiness with the one she chooses (remember that three people love test in Back from the Brink when the trio went to find the Ghost Eulogy). However, ZYL fell for MY, and ZXW pretended to fall for MY to secure ZYL for HQ.

I honestly feel that since we are seeing mostly HQ's point of view, it may be possible that in this series, Lord ZXW did so much more for her than what the audience can see. As an audience, we get to see what HRZ has been doing for HQ as he is always around her, but we don't really get to see what Lord ZXW has done thus far.
No, she isn't "lucky". She's a respectable and professional actress who is good at her job and it's so disrespectful…
I rarely follow any actresss or actor. Currently, my posts are only active for Zhou Ye and LYT and for the series Back From the Brink, which means that I admire LYT enough to care for her work. Your judgment wasn’t necessary and I did not once make a rude comment about her. Not once did I say she was undeserving of her role or did I say the men are better looking than her. I did make a shallow opinion about how the second and third male leads are better looking than the male lead. Your comment is off putting, disrespectful, and discouraging to anyone who is trying to make this forum more active.
Thanks for cheering for Huxin and loving the pairs.I am a bit sad lately seeing Neo got bashed this past few days…
What unfair treatment? While I don’t particularly care for JJY, I do recognize that she has a large fan base. And HMH can benefit from this pairing. This guy is a hard worker who is invested in his characters and deserves the opportunities that come his way. I currently only follow ZY’s career, but I do appreciate HMH work ethics and hope the best for him.
leads' chemistry is so off. And their love lacks depth. Plot is very predictable and shallow. Comedy is slapstick.…
His micro expressions in this drama are pretty good. He has room to grow as an actor, but he did do his role as TY justice in this series. His chemistry with ZY was the only reason I signed up for MDL even though I have been lurking on this site intermittently for years. I adore them and despite the flaws in this series, deviation from the novel, and one bad arc, TY/YH became my favorite CP ever.
