I think people have mentioned their relationship as “she fell first but he fell harder.” I feel like they both feel for each other around the same time but she was more attracted to him and more aware of her feelings first. His trauma and hatred blinded him from acknowledging his feelings for her.

Agree. Their relationship was not cliche and did not feel force. As a viewer, you immediately root for them. The script, directing, and ML’s chemistry made their relationship development feel so natural.

It’s possible that YH doesn’t know how to harness the dark aura fully. Fuyin and Suyin have had centuries to train as immortals whereas YH is only a 20 year old with less than one year of experience with the dark aura. TY is weaker than SY without the HPS especially now that she has her full strength back and LF’s too.

I plan to rewatch BFTB once Viki fully subs it. I know the translation is imperfect with Youku. Will likely skip the first 10 minutes of episode 1.

He never intended to kill her. He wanted everything including saving the world and keeping YH alive. It was LF and SU who insisted on killing her. Yes, her Sufi and grandmaster chose the world over her, but Sufi was willing to strain their sects relationship with suyin to keep YH alive. He still deserved to be her sifu. He never plotted against her band honestly believed that the HPS needed to be destroyed for the world’s sake. He owned up to his mistake. There is a reason YH was willing to call him sifu again. It’s much easier to protect one person than the world although it is more difficult to justify choosing one person over the world.

Different strokes for different folks. Personally, I cannot get into TTEOTM at all even though I loved the leads in Love is Sweet. BFTB is far superior to TTEOTM in my opinion.

What I learned from the same blogger is that ZY has a tendency to speak fast. So the voice actress had to keep up with ZY. 😂 it’s funny because I don’t remember her speaking fast in WOH. Agree that TY’s VA was perfect. He was always so gentle when he said YH’s name or when he speaks to her. It’s heart fluttering.❤️❤️❤️

There’s a blogger who I follow who complains about ZY’s acting as YH even though she loves YH as a character. I think ZY is doing fantastic as YH. I think she might have overacted as the happy YH, but I enjoyed seeing her energetic m, carefree, and happy. Both main leads brought their characters to life and have the best chemistry I have seen in a CP to date. They are doing awesome in their roles.

I wonder which kiss scene she had to see…was she shipping the CP already without seeing the series?😂 BL should have taught our CP how to kiss in a Xanxia.

Completely agree. It has more of a complete package than most series. This series is the only reason I joined MDL because it’s too fun. I needed an outlet to discuss my love for this series.

True. I think it’s less obvious since there are more female fans in this page. And clearly HMH is the preferred eye candy for the ladies.

Same here. Neo is doing pretty well now even without BFTB. He seems like a nice guy who has worked really hard to achieve his current fame. ZY has less work under her belt, but even before BFTB she already has many series waiting to air in 2023. Both are such fresh faced actors. I wish them well in their career!
