Rewatching Ep 31 is killing me the 2nd time....from the sacrificial death of XLH and DFQC's agonised cry, to him trapping himself in the dream with XLH's memories....It's done SO WELL and meant to torture us... Now I will just the dream is how XLH and DFQC are living right now, married for another 500 years (+++) and just happy together, with their children...

Ah you really gotta try Joy of Life. Its script and acting is soo good. Both the young actors and veterans. The story will keep you guessing and you can’t tell what the characters are thinking or planning. I can’t stop watching each episode.

I think she said “Oh, isn’t it over yet?” And Dylan said “We still need to keep acting ah”

I think this is from Ep 32? I love this kiss so much cuz it was out of deep love and desperation from fear of being separated. Bravo to Esther for doing the kiss scene so well as she was the one who initiated it. It’s no wonder she felt a bit shy afterwards lol!

Yes the family bickering in Ep 1 was really bad and too “makjang” for me. But it seemed to get better in Ep 2. Let’s see if I will be able to get into the drama Ep 3 onwards. I’ve never watch Zhao Lusi in anything but have liked her cute looks. I tried WRTW but could last 1 episode haha! I can’t even watch Ashes of Love (lasted 3-4 episodes) so I guess Xianxia genre is not my taste. That is until LBFAD came along and wrecked me up…

Thanks! I will try again once I get over LBFAD lol! I love the actress who portrayed the grandma cuz of her role in Ordinary Greatness. She got better by Ep 2.

I’m also a HUGE fan of Nirvana in Fire and it was also the show that made me pay attention to Cdramas again. The closest drama that gave me the same satisfaction in terms of plot and political intrigue is Joy Of Life. Have you watch it yet?

Oh wow, didn't realise that! Quite amazing as LLTG was also v popular and well-reviewed. LBFAD is really the dark horse this Summer and well-deserving of all the praise and amazing results. I couldn't continue LLTG Ep 1 at first cuz of the bickering scene in the family, but tried again and now at Ep 2 (it was better 2nd time round). But still can't get over LBFAD , so may take some time before I restart LLTG.

Those are just haters who are jealous of LBFAD and Esther's success in this drama. I don't believe the other actresses will do as well in this role as Esther. As for her weight, she is already SO skinny! She has a healthy and fit body - was so surprised when I saw her in modern clothes (not hidden by the flowing costumes in the drama). Haters will be haters so just ignore them.

Def have most of the symptoms LOL! I can't watch any other dramas now and am rewatching up to Ep 27. Now I just found out that it's going to be on Netflix earlier than expected (9 Sept instead of 18 Sept), so another rewatch?

That scene at the bridge, really really broke my heart. For both XLH and DFQC. How could XLH have resisted to run into his arms with all the words he confessed ?

And that scene, THAT SCENE, when she put formed a smile on his face with her fingers!! O M G!!!! I screamed!

When he realise the meaning behind XLH's sifu's words about XLH's destiny, and that he is the one who can change her fate...... when he suddenly appear before her and gave her that good bye KISS, didnt say a word and just disappeared again.

When he put on his armour, getting ready to battle Tai Sui, looking once again like the Moon Supreme that we are familiar with..... I had chills and goose bump all over me...

The fact that both of them are trying to save the other by sacrificing their lives...... SOB!!

When she had to kill him to save him and the world..... GAAAHHHH!!!

I feel emotionally drained after watching the finale, but very satisfied. BUT, I need to see more of XLH and DFQC's reunion!! It's not enough - barely 1 minute.... AAAAHHH!!!

Can they PLEASE release a longer version of that reunion? PRETTY PLEASE?!!!

I need more of this drama, and XLH and DFQC!! Already missing them.... Rewatching is the only way to feel better.

I cried again these 2 final episodes. How I wish it was longer! The love that XLH and DFQC have for each other really did things to my heart - it was both squeezed in pain and also lighted like a fire. One of the greatest love story I've watched in a drama....

Can we please have an epilogue of 1 hour of just XLH and DFQC being happy together?!!

I miss our cute and bubbly XLH!! It just shows how much of an impression she has left on my mind and heart. DFQC cultivating little XLH is the sweetest scene(s) ever. But I also want to see our Lord Supreme in full power again, so please dramagods!

Totally agree with you. I love how the war scene happened at the same time as XLH trying to get to the sword, DFQC trying to find her and CH fighting with RH. Everything looks so desperate and it seems like everyone is going to be destroyed. The beloved characters from both the Fairy and Moon tribe all getting killed in the war, friendship lost btwn CH/ RH and DFQC desperately trying to save XLH. It just shows the futility of war and enmity. Even as I watch it, I just KNEW that when XLH finally dies sacrificing herself, everything will be restored. Because her Xishan inheritance and blood is made to heal and bring life. It’s all so well connected and stay true to the theme of the story. Bravo to the writer and the production team!
