Surprisingly I think the opposite. I think Dong wook has a way to display natural warmth and kindness in his characters. His character in this drama is supposed to be reliable, and feel secure which I think Dong wook is the right person to play that role because he naturally gives that aura just by his expressions and his tone of voice, even small things like his smile which give a sense of security. I think the main lead's characters are not supposed to be dramatic in their display of characterization but simply two people who slowly get close to each other and be each others support and comfort in a place where they can only rely on each other. So far for me I have felt that warmth between them.

I still think there is a possibility that it could be someone related to the leads. FL's mother looked so betrayed by whoever killed her. So I would say there is still a drop of a possiblity that it's someone related to the leads.
One thing is for sure I am so irritated about how suspicious Go Mi Sook is ðŸ˜. Every thing she does is so highly suspicious. Even if she is not the murderer, it's so frustrating how suspicious she is. Every sentence that she speaks is pure suspiciousness. She practically puts on loud speaker that she is the murderer, however it feels like it's a trick, but what if it's not a trick what if she is simply is the murderer. Perfect Stranger knows how to confuse the audience 😠but that's why it's so intriguing.
Yeah a woman killer would definitely be different twist. The writer of the drama is really confusing us if it is a woman killer or not. I guess we will have to see from the episodes this week.
Interesting theory but it raise me one question. Since ML traveled to future and all, wouldn't he see he had daughter…
Great question. The FL would just need to be at least just pregnant before the ML died. It is also a possiblity that when he travelled into the future he might have not seen the FL or his daughter on his journey but maybe they were still there.
Haha yeah the soy sauce situation was confusing because why would she put it on the tray if she thought it was weird to dip the sweet bread in the soy sauce. I actually took that moment of that maybe Cafe lady doesn't know the food habits of the 80s. But why would she put the soy sauce there in the first place and be shocked that they used it. Unless the soy sauce was for the orange juice instead 😂.

It just seemed like the director tried to focus on the Cafe lady being happy of FL and ML being together. The director could have just showed them running the rain and just leave at that but the director had to show the Cafe lady looking at them running in the rain and her smiling. Why did the director have to show her perspective?

Theory: I am thinking that the Cafe owner is from the future and might be the daughter or relative of the FL and ML.
- When the ML brought the FL to the cafe the first time she assumed the FL was the ML's date. She said, "I can't let you starve your date." Even the ML was surprised, that she jumped to that conclusion.
- Then the ML later on said to the FL that the Cafe owner is an "Unusual person. Open minded too," There is a possibility that could indicate that she is from another time other than the 80s, maybe that's why she is unusual and open minded.
- Then as the ML and FL were running together in the rain, the Cafe lady looked out the window and saw them and smiled like she was happy that they were together. It didn't feel like a devious smile too. So that's why I think she is from the future and might be their daughter if she was so happy to see them together. She is also wearing the same red the same colour of the time machine car. Of course that might not mean she is the creator of the time machine but maybe she used it to get to the 80s.
Cafe lady being the murder I am not fully convinced, unless she is an accomplice. Because the way the FL's mother 2020s reacted to the person who was about to kill her she acted like she knew the person and was deeply betrayed. FL's Mother doesn't know the cafe lady so closely like that.
I understand the frustration with Meng Meng's character. She is not my favourite character either. However, I don't think her character just being there is because the writer doesn't know what to do with her character. I think the writer is trying to prove a point and talk about something with MM's character. Meng Meng is very fragile and very dependent and in contrast to TT there is clear difference. Even though TT has been handed difficult situations in her life, no parents, no university education and lack of money, there is still a resilience in her that even with no support from anyone she would continue to fight to survive in life. We even saw a glimpse of that even when TT got kicked out for a second, she went back to hustling anyway that she could. I think the writer is commenting on extreme dependency and lack of independence and lack of autonomy ( lack of being self governing and lack of self directing freedom) does not have positive outcomes. So MM depending RTZ is a bomb waiting to happen, because it does not deal with the core of her issues it actually heightens it because now she has shifted her dependency on RTZ. Her treatment, would have been to work with her to gain confidence and independence. And therefore Meng Meng is also a lesson for RTZ in his journey of being a doctor. RTZ, has formed toxic beliefs of what he thinks a doctor is. He thinks he can save everyone which is not true. I also personally think that RTZ does not see MM romantically at all. I also don't see them being always together as romantic at all either. I think RTZ is trying to fix his mistake and rid himself of guilt for misdiagnosing MM. This is a 40 episode show and they are trying to show a journey of growth for the characters, and sometimes growth doesn't happen overnight but I am sure it will happen. 🙂

This drama is really good so far. I think some people came into this thinking it will be a flashing lights bells and whistles drama. This drama is awesome in it's own right in the way it simply shows different people from different walks of life being placed in the same space and them now having to work together in their attempt to simply survive. This is really talking about human nature and communities. Leadership approaches and survival approaches which I think is actually really interesting. All of that mixed with a mystery.
