I found the whole nobles-versus-merchants storyline with the High Priest dissatisfying. Even after uncovering…
They were both serial killers lol. How do you pardon something like that? Even if their reasoning was justified, both Sheriff Wei and Sheriff Du killed a bunch of people. Lu Lingfeng was willing to speak on behalf of Wei Tao, but We Tao knew that this is what he wanted.
Although we didn't get much LLF in this case, I still thoroughly enjoyed it! I heard this case is mainly focused on SWM and the polo match case is solely focused on LLF. We'll see the gang again in S4 next month!
Do i need to watch the previous one or can i start this drama
there are a lot of references in S3 that you won't get if you don't watch S1 & 2. It's still enjoyable as a case-solving drama if you're looking for something fun and serious.
you said no spoilers so do you want an an answer or not? π
No, nai'er is only relevant for the 3rd case. Mr Fei doesn't have a significant other, nor does Xue Huan, LLF's apprentice. They're too old and too young LMAO.
Haha, I did see people put up a ship picture of Mr. Fei and that old woman innkeeper from S2 (the second to last case in the series) Hah! But just for fun.
Agree! Case #6 is one of the best so far. The part where LLF cried as he bids his farewell to the two men was…
This season five out of the six has slapped someone. I've been keeping tabs lmao. Xue Huan beat up some thugs but he hasn't slapped anyone, though.
What's funny is LLF and Ying Tao has strong ass bitch slaps. Chicken Fed almost blew his back. And Xijun used her whole body π
In S2, LLF gave her and Ying Tao the side eye when they laughed in court. Now, he doesn't even stop his family members from taking their anger out on criminals on trial π
I gotta say forcing children to go to their parents execution is absolutely nasty work
It was needed. Not just to see their father for the last time but to understand the consequences of one's actions, that no one is above the law, but and show their father the last respect he deserves.
Hmmm π€ that doesnβt sound right - may I ask where did you see that? Li Longji reigned for 44 years - he is…
I think they want 10 seasons of Stotd not 10 years of them? πEach season doesn't necessarily have to be one year apart.
Edit to add: Oops nvm I see you were responding to the original comment and not the one above
Strange Tales is known for its use of historical artifacts and accuracy so it wouldn't make sense to write a make believe ending. Personally I wouldn't want that π I think it makes more sense to stick with what happened in history.
How do you think the season will end? I think something is gonna happen, forcing them out of Chang'An. Remember how the poets talked about the north and how it snows and stuff? What if the season ends with them heading north π€―

S1 is a must if you want to know how the characters came to be and what each of their talent is.
