Your comment on Sheriff Du and the younger bro makes sense. I didn't want to suspect him but I think it might be Du. If you think about it, Sheriff Du was at the ritual. SWM said the killer would need to be strong and precise to struck the wooden blade into the victim's throat. That sounds like Sheriff Du. Plus, he could have sent someone to kill off the younger brother like you said. But why though?

Stotd always does an outstanding job building up the layers of a case. No idea what's going to happen next, but I'm seated for it.

I really enjoyed the pillar viewing scene even though I have no historical context behind it. I can feel the glory and pride of these people stemming from a long line of noble lineage and not in a bad way. With stotd's streak of adding historical artifacts and Office Wei's emphasis on the missing piece of the pillar, I'm curious if this was a real artifact today. There was also emphasis on a little boy, but idk who that was. Perhaps an important figure in history? Anyways, I like how they weave history into the drama.

I'm a bit worried LLF may have been brainwashed by Chancellor Cui. Pls pls pls LLF this is the moment you should not wave in your conviction to SWM!

Um cause he literally confessed xijun is the person he cared for the most and then boom next case he fell in love with another girl 😭 actually he pissed me off that whole case what with ignoring all of SWM's warnings. Then he pissed me off for a few episodes after but he's back in my good graces now.

Same! Ever since S1, SWM has always been super nice and friendly to her. Actually, everyone is super protective of her in this group 😁 On the same vein, I wish we could see more Xijun x Xue Huan interaction.
