The emperor's room in particular was gorgeously designed. The light shining in through the window. The fog at the Baize temple. Anything with fog and light shining in makes everything 10x more cinematic.

The colors look so good on her. Her hair style is also very cute!

💯 on the Cinematography in this show for sure. Especially S2 since it has so many beautiful outdoor shots. I LOVE the main casts though but different strokes for different folks 😉

I understand this is how he grew up but we've already established in S1 and S2 the growth he went through. I'd thought things would be different now that they have been brothers in arm for together for so long. But then again, I did catch him reverting back to his old self at least once or twice in S2 😂

Yeah he pissed me off this case. And I am utterly flabbergasted he didn't catch any bad vibes from the people he was traveling with. Or heed SWM's warnings.

SWM has been with him since day 1 and always looking out for him but he is constantly shutting this man down and it pisses me off. LLF used to be my #1 but after this case he went down to #4 on my list: SWM, Xijun, Ying Tao, and LLF.

Sorry if I offend anyone but after the debacle in the last case, my respect for LLF as a loyal man went down. He's still a great detective though.

Also, I don't like how he shut down SWM's decision to become an author. Everyone else was supportive and he'd actually do well. He's a very eloquent man. Then he shut down Xijun's idea of being merchant (someone commented he's reverting back to S1 LLF and I agree). And I can't imagine investing everything into a business and not being the face or the boss behind the venture. In ancient China, the merchant class is the lowest class so understandable with her status. It's good that Chicken Fed is the boss though.

Today's case is the first one where it felt like OG STOTD with the autopsy and finding clues. Ugh sorry if I'm complaining sm. I just love this show sm but the vibe this season is different from the previous two and it's throwing me off. I'm still sticking around though and we're not even halfway through.

The MDL is not accurate. There was a buzz online when the show was about to be filmed that the director has changed.
