Well said. I thought I was going crazy for thinking that the ML was wooden and bland, but nope I was seeing it for what it is. There should be a spark between them, like in Rising Feather but there's nothing there from his side. Such a shame when the actress is so skilled but she's not got someone oppossite her on the same level to play off of. Like listening to a duet but only one singer can sing 😞 These dramas have such similar clichés that strong chemistry is barest minimum of things to expect but this has me grasping at straws, looking for a secondary couple to ship. What a shame.

Honestly, even fanfic writers do better characterisation 🤦♀️ Main times I see stronger FLs is when they're villains, guest stars or leads in a much shorter drama (like less than five minutes per episode).

It also seems a 180 from how he was when he didn't know she was his bride, she carried his wounded self to safety, treated him with her own pricey medicine originally meant for her and how he was loyally waiting for her to return from fetching water for him. Some people strangely rate a series before they've finished it and also overrate series as well. I've seen mediocre and worse than that series get eights and nines just because it ended happily.
